really fun game, highly recommend especially if on sale.

It's okay, not great. It's five hours of gameplay stretched to 20hrs. Hard difficulty is a bit fake, not actually rewarding. Hitboxes and stunlocks make it more punishing than it should be. If I had to do it again, I'd wait for a deep sale ($5 or so), play it on Normal, and blast through it without worrying about collectibles and unlocks.

It's like a spectacle-fighter/character-action game with a heavy emphasis on ranged combat options, but still plenty of melee that you'll need to weave in-and-out of to stay alive. I'm a big fan of the cooldown system instead of ammunition: you have 6ish powerful abilities with relatively short cooldowns that you can rotate between during combat. Really pushes you to use all of your tools. Great game!

This game is like your favourite schlocky b-horror movie. Is it groundbreaking? No. Will it change your life? No. It is big, loud, dumb fun? Absolutely. Feels like a throwback to the PS3 era of action games, for all that entails. It's linear, the writing is kind of flat, but it commits entirely to the aesthetic. Not sure it's worth full price but on sale this is a no-brainer.

Definitely a diamond in the rough. I have never heard of the company or the game. But steampunk cowboy vampire hunters, sign me up. The characters are enjoyable, well voiced, and written good along with their designs. Combat is smooth and flexible. It was a good balance of the challenges. Now is it repetitive, yes. You do simple puzzles and smash/shoot your enemies. Even doing this its a blast to play. I have no complaints. Hope your give it a try.

This game is a really good vampire hunter game The story sucks you in Gameplay is better than avowed does stutter here and there but that's the only downside

I highly recommend Evil West! The whole game feels like if you put all of Blues Saraceno's songs together and made them into a game. My only complaint is the online Co-op. It's very buggy and sometimes straight up unplayable due to crashes and glitches.

honestly, this is just a nice short schock fest of a game, that is simple, fun, and easy to get into and beat. no over arching huge story, its a tad silly and B movie esk, and thats perfectly alright. its a fun time if you like action games like god of war. a good recommend for me as a busy adult who doesnt have to many hours to play games anymore

stylish hack n slash shooty game that hits all the marks it sets out to. There are lots of steam punky gadgets you acquire, all so far have proved satisfying to use in combat, the bad guys aren’t particularly difficult on normal mode (so far) but there can be lots of them so it’s easy to get overwhelmed if you’re not watching your health bar, if you spam the dodge button and throw the occasional shot in there with your pistol though it’s enough to get you out of a more sticky situation. Definitely mix up your attacks with the punch combos and Tesla like electricity weapons As far as the story is concerned, it is simple yet entertaining enough that I remained engaged through out its entirety. You play as a cowboy who serves an organization that specializes in killing demons. It’s not a terribly deep premise or anything and you could probably skip the scenes since the bread and butter of the game is it’s combat, but the plot is still interesting in the same vein that a B movie on the sci-fi channel is interesting. Too many people have given Evil West a poor review because of its story which is hardly fair considering that this is an action game where the story is secondary as is usually the case with games in this genre. I can’t recommend it enough for fans of single player campaigns.
