I really like the game's setting, story, and art style. That's why I bought it, it looked creative and unique. Here is how my experience playing the game for the first time went: - Launch game; appears to be stuck on a blank title screen. Click around for a bit and am brought to a screen that says "Coming Soon". - I notice the game's title bar in Windows is "New Project". Bodes ill. - I spam click some more and return to the blank title screen. For a second, buttons flash on the screen and disappear. I am unable to make the buttons reappear no matter how many times I launch the game again. - I click in the location the "start game" button had flashed briefly and start the game. I make a mental note of where the button is, since it's invisible. - Click around for a bit, figure out some of the game controls. - Walk forward for a bit, die suddenly. Screen goes black. I don't respawn. Makes me sad. - I launch the game and die in the same place but this time the game doesn't freeze at a black screen. I continue forward. Conclusion: The game looks like it can be really awesome but it NEEDS bug fixes. That's what Early Access is for right? I don't know about this arena mode, but the bugs with the main game need to be fixed. I won't be refunding this, but I also will not be playing it until a patch is released. Edit: I see it says "Big update and bug fix coming soon Jun 26 @ 1:19pm - Sevtbeat" In the game news. Will update review once next patch comes out Edit 1 year later: Version 1.0 has been released and the game is out of early access, the review has been switched to recommended accordingly. Great thanks to the creator for updating the game and relentlessly squashing the bugs I described.
