EDIT - I just played again and teamers are going to ruin this game. They are camping in teams of 2-4 people and take high ground. Impossible for a lone wolf to survive. This is meant to play SOLO people. Dev's please add Co-Op to fix this. Teamers will ruin this game if problem is not fixed. All 4 spawns today I died by teamers camping ridges! Beware its not a fair fight when 3 teamers are firing at you like a firing squad on the ridge above you... I recommend Stand Out right now instead of this if you want a PUBG VR game. I was really disappointed by this game especially learning it was in beta for awhile. It feels clunky. I feel detached from the action. Crazy lag when there are a few people shooting at the same time. My wife was watching my screen when I died and even said "But you killed that guy first". Its hard to explain but I will try. You see a enemy and unload a clip into someone but its like the game rewinded and somehow I end up dead. Probably lag but dont have problems in Contractors, War Dust or Stand Out. Graphics are awesome in The Last Player but thats the only thing this game has going for it right now. Deciding on whether to return. Your best bets for FPS games are first Contractors and then Stand Out for PUBG experience.

id recommend giveing this game some time. decent new style if inventory system but the overall combat is absoulte trash. just a laggy fun fight where no one wins and everyone gets pissed cuase the lag is so horrible. if youve play any other semi decent fps in vr then this game will fall drastically short of your expectations https://clips.twitch.tv/TawdryFaithfulGaurCoolStoryBob https://clips.twitch.tv/EnticingPrettyHummingbirdPhilosoraptor

Bots are a bit overpowered as they spawn in as you move from building to building Also would love to see another map, its probably coming at a later day This game has tons of potential - I recommend if you have some friends to play with

So far I am having a great time with this game. Following some Pros and Cons: Pros: -quick matchmaking -great parachutemechanic (very intuitive and fun too use) -amazingly intuitive inventory, best i saw in PCVR yet -quickly change accesoires from gun to gun without accesing the inventory -vaulting -finally a game with good movementspeed, you dont feel like a 150 kilo 70 year old -you get action all round, no long waitingtime between firefights Cons: -game fills up your lobby with bots (reason for fast mm), sometimes rly stupid ones, sometimes spinbotters who literally spray walls when you are behind them :D -there are Asian and Europe+North America Servers, last both together in one server. So everybody is playing above 100 ping and fights can get unresponsive (shooting enemys 1metre in front of you four times with a shotgun and they are still alive f.e.). Otherwise you get a half full lobby + bots instead of 4 other players.... -graphics could be better -game is really arcady, could be annoying to some ppl

Good game. Dont let the negative reviews fool you, graphics are better than stand out. I have the index and didnt have any issues so far. The guns do auto reload though compared to stand out but it is pretty cool to be able to add or remove attachments on guns like on pubg and have different levels of armor. Mechanics seam pretty good and map is decent. I dont like how throwing grenades you just push a button and it throws but its definitely usable and easy to kill people with. Only 4 rifles in the game right now but remember the game just released and it is early access. Excited to see how this game gets updated in the future. Oh and the leader board is way better than stand out. Edit: Forgot to mention this game has an awesome gunstock setup in the settings where you customize how each individual weapon is positioned compared to your actual gunstock vs. having to physically adjust your gunstock to match what is showing in game....that is huge and anyone who has a gunstock would know that. Most FPS games the guns are somewhat close to each other in how they are in game but most still require you to adjust your gunstock so feels and aims right....not in here....it saves your settings too so never have to adjust again! Huge props to the Devs for that!

There are no real players in game. They just auto run forward and over buildings in lobby. Then once you load into game, they will all walk straight to you regardless of where you are. Refunding, do not buy.

so its really arcarde style no manual relaoding, climbing with one Hand its not really climbing, pick up things by just pressing a button switch to a full realodet weapon by just pressing a button the only thing that is like virtual reality is putting scopes on weapon. The inventory system is great. There is only toggle grip, no hold to grip option. The sniping scopes mechanic is diffrent and really intresting, but i think there is a option to play it in normal way. The parachute works also very well. The map can be quick boring u see free unity buildings so feel like in stand out, war dust or oonward Its not really beating stand out. so its a matter of taste and for me personal its a bit to unimmersiv. But for you it can be great but stand out is at the moment still better option.

It's PUBG clone in VR ofcourse, but very close one. I allready prefer this game to Standout. Tons of work ahead, but I'm keeping this one in my library. I hope, that they'll add manual reload at some point. https://youtu.be/murr2uGfa5w https://i.imgur.com/1Dk2czs.mp4

Graphics: Pretty solid, but animations take a hit. They look fairly rough in terms of what the player is actually doing. Sound: Sounds themselves are good, but directional sound gets worse the closer things are to you. It takes a bit getting use to. Controls: Pretty rough, but I have been spoiled by Pavlov/Onward controls. Personally I would like to see more manual interaction in a VR BR game, than menus. Also, auto reloading in VR is one thing....but seriously, auto grenade throwing? This is VR. The entire point of me doing it is to do the action. At least have an option to toggle it. Gameplay: It's similar to what you would expect for a BR, but the final ring doesn't close entirely. I was able to camp a roof on a extremely small slice of the ring. Nothing was forcing me to leave. Also, the ACOG is broken in the game. It's an interesting idea for VR, but it basically changes your view into JUST through the ACOG. It's fairly broken since it can allow for some heavy sniping once you get use to the way it handles. There is an option to toggle it to the standard way of using an ACOG. Why isn't this default? Overall: The game needs work, but that said for the discounted price, it's not terrible. But as a person who enjoys Pavlov/Onward and wants my hands on another solid shooter, this one I will have to pass. 4/10

Game is okay, not the best but not the worst. Pros: 1. Good graphics Great looking game for a VR with such a large map, and there are options to make it look a little better in the menus. 2. Fun Game play Basically a better looking Stand Out VR Battle Royale. I really like the grenade throwing in this one. 3. Decent player base (It did just become available today for us normies...) We will see if this game is as fleeting as others in this genre. Cons: 1. Controls If your an Index user you might have some trouble with the Index controllers. To me it feels like your doing more work than needed to achieve the same affect as the Vive wands. I can't say for the Oculus as i don't have one or WMR, but fiddle with it and try to find a happy medium. 2. Sound\Audio My god is the sound bad. I'm not trying to trash the game in any way but the everything from the gunshot sounds to the reloads, BAD. For example: If you like to use one of your best senses to try and find other players....don't. The audio feels like its one large sound that is all around you or only in front of you. Getting shot at? Better start looking because the gunshot will not give you any sense of direction of where its coming from, indoors or out. 3. Weapons I know, i know, It's still early access, but am I missing something or is there only 4 weapons currently in the game? An M16 AR, a UMP45, and a pump action shotgun. Oh and the knife. So yeah 4. No side arm of DMR's or sniper rifles. Just the 4. Summery: It's a good game. I paid for my copy, and I like this genre in VR but its lacking a lot. It is an EA game so bear that in mind of you plan on trying it out. If you already have a BR that you like stick with it for the being. The Last Player will be a good game, its just not there yet. If you wanna support the team behind it buy it and play it and give feedback. If you just want to play and dont care about the development than move on. Buy it if you want to be around for the ride. I'm happy with my purchase.
