It's only 10 minutes, but those are AMAZING 10 minutes.
2 bucks well spent, looking forward to more chapters.
This might also just be the best demo you can put on for friends that want to try out your headset, by the way. If this thing doesn't wow them, nothing will.

That was fun, and fortunately the voice work os better than the description, lol. Not a vast game, but a short arcade ride. If you ever played Jurassic Park in the Arcade, this is like the VR version of that. The gun handling is not great, but good enough that you can point at what you want to and shoot. Will be buying chapter 2.

This is a short, scripted, cheesy on-the-rails arcade shooter. Graphics and sound are good, it runs smooth and plays well. There’s hint of a plot – something way over the top, like a kid’s wild imagination would have come up with – pretty amusing! It’s very short, around eight minutes, and each play through appears to be exactly the same. I got it on sale, so I’m happy with it. Would be good for an intro to VR, but be wary of motion sickness as you’re riding backwards in a truck the whole time. Thumbs: UP!

Great game! Highly recommended!
Just what I expected it to be. Brought back the feel of old light gun arcade shooters such as, Area 51, and Jurassic Park The Lost World. It also felt like an amusement park ride, the likes of which would be seen at Universal Studios, or Islands of Adventure, Orlando FL. In particular the 3D rides like Spider-Man and Back to the Future, are the feels this game brought to mind.
I particularly looked forward to the animation work done in this game. I was not disappointed. It turned out exactly as I expected.
Even though I was not surprised by anything in the game, the story it starts to build does have me intrigued. I will be back for chapter 2 and beyond!

Fast paced rolling arcade shooter. Good for a once through for me. Kids love it. They will play it again a few more times. A little short but it has a working formula as an arcade shooter.

For the low price this is an excellent on-rails game/experience. One of the most enjoyable dinosaur themed VR mini-games I've played. I wouldn't say the graphics are the best in VR (like the description says), but they are good. The voice acting is passable (one is hilariously bad), the guns and mechanics are super basic, but the fun/action is intense. Perfect for a VR arcade, or anyone who wants a short thrill, especially anyone who loves dinos.
Recommend for the price, and I'm looking forward to Chapt. 2!

Another VR Demo of a game. Lots of these on Steam. I don't blame them for releasing a Demo, but some of these could be made into good games. Obviously it takes a ton of time and work to get a decent game built, but this is another Demo not really worth downloading.

I really liked this! Just set your expectations appropriately and compare it to an arcade game at the mall and I think you will like it too. It is super short but it feels a lot like the Jurassic park raw thrills arcade game (the one with guns). Its quite a bit shorter than that game but its also cheaper and this is only one chapter of the full longer term project. If you think about it like an arcade game then its cheap. You can play it over and over and its fun. there are things to find and try to get all in one run which I think is cool.
Here's the cool thing: The scale of the dinosaurs is awesome and the aiming is awesome and those two things to me are the fundamentals. The aiming is so precise and natural that I hit most of the targets in the cool slow motion quicktime events pretty easily, whereas in the arcade the aiming is not precise (depending on the calibration of the machine) or natural. This aiming feels like a natural extension of your arm which is great. I also liked the dinosaurs they were very scary being right up in your face. They hit you with the trex right out of the gate and theres lots of being chased by it.
For motion comfort: its on rails (you are on the back of a car) so its a slow and not terribly jarring backwards motion which didn't bother me but is not ideal for a beginner with no VR legs. For being on rails the motion comfort is good.
Something they could improve on: I have a high end graphics card but the distance culling was dramatic and super noticeable. I would love to have two guns (one in each hand).
I really liked this short experience and hope for more chapters in the future. I would actually love to see tons of short exciting arcade experiences like this in all kinds of different settings. They are super immersive and fun.

So for $2.54 USD (sale price on release day on Steam) I was not expecting much. I saw the store page and figured this would be a mindless shooter. And it is. But it's also fun. It's like a joyride where you get in a car and just drive around doing stupid stuff around town and if you describe it to another person, it will sound like a waste of time.
Coincidentally, you're also riding in a vehicle in this game and mindlessly shooting stuff. The stuff here happens to be dinosaurs hell-bent on making you their next meal. You only use one motion controller (right-hand) and just shoot stuff without really aiming (hip-fire). No aiming down sights for this game!
Explosions happen. There's QTE events where you have to shoot in a directed area within a certain time frame or you're toast. Lots of short cinematic stuff happens along the way. The whole joyride takes about 8 minutes. The only options are language options or whether you want easy or elite difficulty (no in-between stuff here!).
The graphics are good for a budget title. There's some pop-in in the distance at times during this game and while I won't say the game ran smoothly, I will say it ran well enough on my 1060. The firing of weapons could have been done better, less arcade, but I had mindless fun regardless.
Rate 6.5/10. I'm interested in buying Chapter 2. I would just like to see the gun mechanic improved. Also, maybe allow for some grenades to be thrown with the offhand or some Molotovs.

Don't be fooled by lots of positive reviews - most of them are based on the game's cheap price.
Bleeding Edge VR looks and feels like something made for smartphone or early VR arcade. It's funny that game description states "the highest quality of visuals" while even screenshots look kinda ugly.
But the worst part of the game is the gun handling - one of the most important things in any shooter. Here it uses only one controller for turning while both guns are two-handed, has no recoil or feedback. Bullets have no impact on enemy models other than ugly splashes of blood and scripted death animations, that look like dinos just got bored with you and fell asleep.
I don't think that even the cheapest price can justify such a horrible gameplay.
