Overall, would recommend
Prolly not worth the full price, simply because of the controls. Would recommend getting it when its on sale tho
Do not buy if you cant remap your controller this game will not work
Great game if you like to play games over multiple times, there are many different decisions you could redo also there are these little baseball card things you can collect so you can play it many times and not get tired of it
It took me while too complete (around 10 hours) so it is a bit of a lengthy game
The puzzles were difficult, so if you enjoy thinking this game might be one of the best

Blacksad: Under The Skin is a Noir detective story set in 1950's New York, but if the world was only populated by anthropomorphic animals based on a spanish comic book, although I have not read said comic book. The game is taking a lot of notes from the Telltale Games, and sometimes it is less refined than those games but considering Telltale went belly up I think it's excusable. Since it's a Noir Detective Story starring a black cat and Noir being French for "black" is kind of a funny in-joke. Overall rating:Good

a game that seems like it'd be great and enjoyable just off the bit i was able to play, but man the performance is terrible
i hope one day i can come back to this game when the devs care enough to fix it, but after seeing complaints dating back to 2019 i'd guess that's probably not gonna happen

I loved this game! Felt the story was super engaging, and loved the multiple ways it could have gone. The 'Your Blacksad' that showed your characters' personality metrics throughout the game was a really cool touch too. I do think that the deductions mechanics were a bit clunky and they did get stuck sometimes - forcing me to exit the game and start again - but the overall gameplay and story kept me coming back. Also think the QTE were a bit tedious sometimes but I really appreciate the repeated attempts functionality where you don't get locked out a story option because of your QTE choices (necessarily). Overall - amazing game, thoroughly enjoyed playing it!

I recommend this game and did not experience any glitches. just buy it. the controls are a little clunky and you have to directly press a button decisively instead of grazing the button. the graphics are ok and good enough to set the atmosphere which is really what is important for this game. this game is about thinking who you are talking to, believing in your choices, deductive reasoning, and the characters in this game will invest you in their roles. you become blacksad, and black sad becomes you. i have never played a detective game before but this did not disappoint even from the first 10 seconds of playing

Can not recommend this until they fix it (which they probably won't).
I'm sure it's a great game, but getting stuck on QTE due to stuttering issues - in a game relying on QTE - is not a good thing.
It did leave me wanting more though, so I replayed The Wolf Among Us instead. Put your money there.

It's hard for me to understand why this game is not overwhelmingly positively reviewed.
There are very few games that make you truly happy but Blacksad is one of them.
Thanks to this game I became familiar with the comic books, and the art / storylines are just beautiful.
The game can be a little clunky at times but overall the story is great, the developers did an amazing job at making sure you're fully immersed in the atmosphere.
I enjoyed the puzzles, the soundtrack, the characters. I love noir, and this one really hit the spot.
Too bad there aren't that many games like Blacksad. I think I've played all of the really good ones like Disco Elysium, Wolf Among Us, L.A. Noire...
I'd love it if Pendulo Studios continued with the franchise - one can hope!

This would be an awesome game if it weren't for the technical faults. I was willing to overlook the fact that I had to go back two hours toward the beginning of the game because I had missed a certain clue and being softlocked from it, but where I draw the line is the rooftop scene where no matter if I use keyboard or controller, the QTE is always against my favor, whether I button mash or do it rhythmically.
I tried an exploit method, and that still didn't work. I heard of editing my save file and all that entails, and I just don't find it worth it at this point. The writing in this game is tremendous, but holy shit the game needs serious patches, and it's been six years, and there's been no resolution to any technical problems. I would really like to finish the game, but I shouldn't have to be the one to do trial and error to play a game I payed for.

Can't play it due to how many stutters the game has, tried on two different machines. both pretty strong. can play games like cyberpunk 2077 very well at high settings with resolution at 1440p and 60 fps. It's a shame bc I really want to play this game! but the stutters make it unplayable. I even got it on sale and that was too much money for a game i can't play.
