This is insane, why did you limit the amount of saves so much, I suppose there are only 3 saves possible in the game since It's using gold coins to do so, and quantity of those are limited. Whats more, there are only 1 save room and you had to go to the 1st floor every time you want to save the game, usually being chased by some monster, LOL. Healing items also very rare, so you should use it wisely too. There are 3 bosses In the game. And if you don't save the coins and used them unwisely, you probably had to start the boss fights again and again. Or even worse: you need to search for all items all over again just to defeat the boss and find 1 more coin just to save your progress, after dying from some random attack in the hallways. I don't even find this fun so why waste so much efforts. Better to repeat The Resident Evil on Hard mode, than playing this unfair game.
