It's evolving, just backwards.
I'd rather buy Vectromirror 0, which is free but could buy only Vectromirror.
What this game lacks (and I have no idea why comparing it with Vectromiror):
[olist]
[*]Perfomance. At first, I thought my PC might be not as good but turns out Vectromirror 0 runs smooth as butter, why here I rarely get 60 FPS.
[*]Pace in levels. Here you are a turtle with double jump ability. At each level you are stopped by either one of these:
- Some stairs, where for each step you need to do a double jump. And they go vertically, and not always dj guarantees that you will get on another step
- Some slow-ass platform, or a platform that will suddenly disappear, or some platform that goes at light speed, and you didn't expect that.
- You need to pull some lever, or place a box on some point, and wait until the obstacle ahead disappears.
[*]Controls. Here you are a turtle, which will change its direction veeery veeery slowly. Precision jumping is frustrating, trust me. And in some levels, you need it to progress (hello to pacing at levels!).
[*]Wall running/jumping. It's a 50/50 system, sometime you run and jump and can run again on a wall, sometimes you don't. + In most cases you won't clearly see where the wall ends and you have to jump.
[*]Audio feedback. [strike]You run but hear no steps. You land, but there's no audio indication that you've touched the ground.[/strike] BUT there are 2 voices that will talk to you, without any subtitles + those are unskippable. So, wherever you like it or not, sit tight and listen to some jibberish for ~2 minutes before accessing the next levels.
[*]Respawning. You're almost at the top of some tower or at the end of some tricky path and you fall? Welp, wait ~10 secs before you land to the absolute ground 0, cause that's how it's done. Yea, I see I missed something, let me retry - fast. Instead, you have to watch as you fall and wait... to fail once again... And question yourself if you even want to continue this torture.
Idea: add a time for time spent while falling before respawn. Wonder how much playtime I spent on that :D
[*]Lore. In Vectromirror 0 you get some text notes on levels, which sometimes act as "hints". And I love it. Though, standing and reading are not much fun. And some small comic at the end. Here, no lore, you get a clue of what's going on and who you are, but... meh.
[*]Levels. In Vectromirror devs put a player in very small and tight spaces. There is no room for you to wonder where you should go or where you would appreciate the "neon" look type of levels. Everything is put right in front of your face and it hurts your eyes.

Generally speaking, I launched the game 2 times to complete it, and my experience was frustrating. Devs fixed blue level with one update, after which I actually finished the game, thanks.
Vectromirror 0 - absolutely worth this money. All of the aspects I mentioned here are much better. But it's free.
So, I suggest to try Vectromirror, experience it, and then download Vectromirror 0 and see how it should have been done.
EDIT: game name is Vectromirror. I guess it's a good spin on existing word, but good luck searching it on Steam.
VEEEECTRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FOOORRREEEVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR!!!!!!
EDIT (07/11/20):
+ Audio feedback was updated. Now you can hear when you "walk" and when you "run". Neat.
