Being a fan of Submachine and other works of this author, i couldn't miss this game. Fun game all around, sometimes challenging in its puzzles, but always delightful thanks to its artistic direction. Can't wait to explore more to find out all of its secrets.

There is no denying that this game is an artistic masterpiece: anyone familiar with the last chapters of the Submachine series, mr. Skutnik's most renown effort, will surely feel at home in the wonderfully crafted world of Slice of Sea, with its strange mixture of sci-fi, historical, spiritual and post-apocalyptic feelings. The mesmerizing visuals are accompained by a subtle but very evocative musical background, that leaves a pleasant sorta Pink Floyd-ish dream-like aftertaste.
Although I thouruoghly enjoyed the few hours that it took to complete the game, I must admit that it suffers from some of the issues that plagued the last chapters of the Submachine series, namely the shear complexity of the maze-like game world, which often requires great memory for details and some substantial back-tracking to complete some of the riddles. I personally had to resort to a walkthrough in three situations where I got stuck.
In conclusion, I give this beautifully crafted game a solid 9/10 with great expectations for Submachine: Legacy, which should be out in the near future.
