Prince of persia: the forgotten sand is set between the sand of time and warrior within and see the prince visiting his brother, but unfortunately he arrives when it's under attack by some unknown army, the price now need to find his brother and help him to resolve this situation. The story is really simple and enjoyable to be honest, I didn't like the ending, i think was a little bit rushed to be honest. The gameplay is the classic that everyone loves, an action adventure game with a lot of platforming and intense combat, the platforming in this game is really improved since the two thrones and especially since the prince of persia 2008, feels more smooth in the controls, more elaborate thanks to new powers that the prince unlocks through the game and a improvement overall which is really saying something, the combat tho is a bit lackluster, yes is simple, yes I adore that we have a lot of enemies to fight simultaneously, but is too simple, no more combo other than a simple 3 combo with heavy attacks and a kick command, no more parry system, enemies that repeat themselves a lot so not really a great variety and in the end feels dull. Yeah sure they added elemental power that you can unlock, but it's nothing if they are useless, I mean some of them are good (like the wind one) but half of them are not worth using or upgrading them, so in the end the combat is a set back from the previous games, not worst than 2008 game but not good like two thrones. the technical side of the game is good, the steam deck can run the game well, some crashes happen but I don't know what causes them, other than that the game runs great. I really like the style of this game, more colourful than the rest of the series, the design of the scenery is good and enemies are nicely done. In the end the game is good, unfortunately the combat is meh but still serviceable and fun at times, but the rest? Pretty awesome.
