This game is much more interesting than it may seem. Technically it is rather buggy and glitchy, and all the models are probably not original (pre-made assets), however we can find some pretty nice ideas here. Monster slayer is a first person shooter were we play as a sort of hunter who has been sent to an island full of savage beasts, with the purpose of eliminating a bunch of sentient aliens who are responsible for the constant spawning of the aforementioned animals. These aliens are, more or less, the bosses of the game, so once we kill them all our mission is accomplished. As we kill a boss, the next one spawns in another location of the island, so then we have to track our new target while killing the wild beasts we meet during our happy trip. Not all the beasts are hostile, some of them immediately run away as they spot us, however it is our interest to kill as many of them as possible, because with each kill we gain exp points which we can then use to upgrade our weapon (thorugh a very nice and cool personal droid!). We have a single gun to use, however it is equipped with three different (and unlimited) ammo types: laser blasts, fire balls, and stunning blasts. This is the most interesting feature of the game: laser blasts can be used to "charge" the enemies, which then become much more vulnerable to the other two ammo types. For example, you can make enemies literally burn alive if you hit them with a fire ball while they are charged. This is a very cool idea, also considering that all three ammo types can be upgraded with the exp points. Another thing I really appreciated is the variety of the bosses. They all look the same aestetichally, however each one of them is equipped with a unique array of abilities: some bosses use fire magic, some use ice magic, some use lightning magic, and finally some can even summon other enemies! This feature makes the game much less tedious and repetitive, and this is a good thing, because otherwise the basic game formula would have become extremely boring after just a couple of minutes. Other than shooting, our character can sprint towards any direction thanks to sort of jetpack, and can heal instantly with a device that needs a pretty long cooldown after being used, to balance the fact that we have no lives, if we die we have to start over. And that's it, this is basically the game. It is a very simple product in the complex, however I assure you it is much more fun than you may think, and the quality it offers is appropriate to its price. Also, the creatures are very cool to look at. If they are truly pre-made assets, thay have been chosen wisely! Overall, I recommend this game to all FPS lovers who like to shoot down random monsters without too many expectations. For this price, you might as well give it a try, it may surprise you in a positive way! Cheers guys!
