In an age in which every other game is in Early Access whether they need it or not, a game that really needed to call itself Early Access is not.
+ A lot of great ideas: a post-apocalyptic 4X, with all classic Punk styles as competing factions: Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Atompunk...
+ Distinctive look
+ The campaign has some sort of direction/story
- It's just not ready!
- Bugs: as a meaningful example, I started the tutorial, and a bunch of missions in I encountered an error in the visualization of the current task that prevented me from advancing *the tutorial*, which should be the programmatic introduction to the game
- So many quality of life improvements that, as a seasoned 4X player, I was taking for granted, are absent: as a meaningful example, every turn you are forced to cycle through all your buildings and units before being able to end the turn
- Events: during the campaign, story events grant you modifiers, which seem quite disconnected from the narrative, and sort of disappear from your view as soon as you click the event away
- UI tries hard but it's not clear enough
- The visual choices are often bold and charismatic, but they all blend together! When you have a post-apocalyptic world that is all scorched and brownish, and the driving color of most Punk styles is brown (or bronze), nothing really sticks out visually, and all blend together in a bleak brownish mix of UI, map, buildings, units...
