That was a fun little game, I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected!
Gameplay wise, it's challenging but not unfair, and grinding is mitigated by the fact that you gain exp by being curious and checking pretty much anything, a very neat mechanic in my opinion.
Background music is awesome and got me headbanging during fights which is exactly what I expected from a game called METAL AS PHUK
Characters interactions are funny, definitely want to see another game using these 4 characters again! It really felt like I was in the middle of some friendly banter during a tabletop role-playing game which is great.
Regarding the last boss:
I actually managed to drop his hp to 0 by poisoning him and didn't understand why I couldn't defeat him. My guess at the time was that I needed to ring the bell but I couldn't find it in the inventory, which is a shame because it is exactly what is used right after you "lose" the fight.
The problem is that, when I realized that I couldn't kill him, I had already spend at least 10 extra turns and was nowhere near losing when I decided to suicide.
One way to fix this kind of fight would be to be able to use the key item allowing you to win (Dragon Quest XI has a similar mechanic that works well) or allowing the player to kill the boss the hard way and trigger an alternative end. Another way to do it would be to make the boss so strong it's impossible to fight him for more than 2 or 3 turns once he has reached less than a certain percentage of his max hp.
Overall a really fun experience!
