Avis sur Ship Graveyard Simulator 2

I'm a bit on the fence about this one, because I cannot not compare it with Hardspace: Shipbreaker which in a lot of ways is very similar. Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 suffers from the comparison both in optimisation and in looks. But I think the worst thing is the actual message. Both games are about breaking ships apart to make money, but Hardspace: Shipbreaker has a whole story about workers uniting and standing up for one another. It is a well thought out commentary about capitalism and the power of unionising. The credit end with a reminder of the harsh reality of shipbreaking in South East Asia, linking to a documentary on the subject. Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 however, puts you in the shoes of and shipbreaker from India, taking a more direct and "realistic" approach on the matter. No story, no acknowledgement of the life threatening conditions the guys were a playing as are encountering in their real actual lives. On top of that, the game is quite obviously made cheaply, lots of bought assets, poor artistry, etc. This gives it another layer of cynicism that really bugs me. I'm not saying every game should be a commentary on society. I am not saying that Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 is a bad game either. I am saying that if you are looking for this kind of game, Harspace Shipbreaker is a lot more deserving of you time and money.
