Honestly the game in singleplayer is fine. haven't tried MP. My big annoyance at this game is.... get ready to pay up for each DLC that includes 3-4 ships with minimal changes in solving puzzles. Maybe worth it to try the base game and one or two DLCs but don't bother getting them all. This type of behavior from the devs is disgusting.

I now understand the powerwash simulator and other sim type gamers better lol, great for relaxing with a bit of deconstruction.

The multiplayer is hard to enjoy, but they are working on improving it. The singleplayer is delightful in the same way as something like Powerwash Simulator.

This is a great game to just zone out to. It is weirdly calming. It is repetitive, especially as you get into the larger ships. But it is still fun.

Great game, the physics can be janky sometimes but other wise very addicting and satisfying to play.

I am very conflicted reviewing this game. The game is by most metrics quite bad. Performance is poor, there are a thousand bugs and glitches. Sometimes items (or the player) will be flung outside the map borders. Sometimes there are floating pieces that aren't connected to anything, which makes mass demolition impossible. The few voicelines (vendors) in the game are very obviously and poorly AI-generated. Not to mention that it will crash sometimes, and once in a while a save file will get corrupt so you'll have to load a previous save. With all that said - if you're able to look past all the jankiness, the actual gameplay is somewhat satisfying. It's a decent stress relief to methodically smash giant ships to pieces (albeit VERY repetitive). If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, you most certainly wouldn't enjoy this game. The game Hardspace: Shipbreaker is better in pretty much every way than this game. If you haven't bought it yet, get it and play through it first. Buy this game only on sales and be mindful that it is repetitive and janky.

The game is incredibly poorly optimised, crashing and stuttering 24/7 while playing even in 1080p on lowest settings. It's quite an achievement for a game to be running so badly and even unplayable with any ship at the rating of large on a PC with a 5800X3D and 6900XT. The biggest peak of it is the fact that when trying to lead any of the biggest ships, the game will crash every time for the first 2 or 3 loadings due to running out of VRAM (which there is 16GB of on this GPU), but even when it loads there is about 80% chance that the game will be running at 30 fps with a stutter rate of about 1 stutter every second. In addition to that, the game scales very badly with any aspect ratio above 16:9, where instead of widening the games FOV in order to give players more to see, it just cuts off the bottom parts of the screen and keeps the same visibility as on 16:9. I know that 2nd problem is not as big due to there being not that many people playing on 24:9 and above, but it's still annoying to see.

I've been enjoying this game immensely. RCE made videos about it, which intrigued me, so I picked it up in the Summer Sale. No stutters at all (except during the automatic saves) when playing at 4K on my 1080Ti in DirectX12, which is impressive for a relatively recent game like this. I'd love it if the developers let you use Vulkan, but maybe that's too much to hope for. My only gripes so far are: 1. The rope tool is a necessity for some of the levels, but for the first level where it's required it's not made clear so I accidentally destroyed the valuable stuff and needed to try that ship again. 2. There appears to be a bug with the crane, because one time I wasn't quick enough jumping off the section of ship I was craning away, and ended up the other side of the fence. Thankfully there's a "click this to reset your position" function, which came in very handy. 3. It wasn't made clear to me that what I'll call the "inventory" (the accumulated material weights at the top of the screen) are not reset when buying another ship, so I kept selling everything before buying the next ship. This made saving up for some upgrades nigh-on impossible until I realised that the "current holding" (stuff measured in the bottom left of the screen - player, warehouse, truck) is the only stuff that's reset when buying a new ship.

This is a great game as I have had so much fun with it. I must say that the developers created some great ships even though the decks don't fill the hull from top to bottom. Occasionally all that loads is the connector's, too funny to complain about. Just wanted to say good job and send more ship's.

I found the majority of the base game thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing. However, due to constantly degrading performance and worsening bugs, the end of the game was completely ruined. Performance Issues: No matter how much you tweak your settings or keep your work yard tidy, your experience will be marred by micro-stutters, making the game near unplayable. Your average frame-rate might be 120, but the micro-stutters make it feel like you're playing at 10. You might imagine that as you work through the ship and keep your yard tidy, performance might get better. But it actually gets even worse until about the final quarter. The worst part is that after you've done the larger ships, the performance issues infect the smaller ships you did before. The first time you did them, you may have had silky smooth 120 fps, 4k resolution, high settings. But once you come back locked at 60 fps, 2k resolution, and medium performance, it's the same stutter-fest you had on the larger ships. Bugs: On the smaller ships, the main issue is that your radial saw doesn't work properly on the stair-to-railing connectors. It's easiest to hit them from the side of the stairs--if possible--but most of the time you'll be standing on the stairs as you cut them. From this vantage, you have to hit the the connector at a very precise angle and spot, which gets tedious very quickly. I also had a recurring issue about halfway through the base game, where my saw or torch would get stuck "on", but would be unusable, and I couldn't switch to any other tools. Using the "unstuck" command wouldn't help, but restarting the game would. As you work your way to the bigger ships, you'll learn it's most efficient to cut the walls off the lower floors and let everything come crashing down. But by the end, this becomes a liability; where you'll end up with sections floating in mid-air, and no great way to cut them down. This is incredibly demoralising, and your progress slows to a crawl while you try to figure out how to cut them down. Supposedly this becomes less prone when you set the "physics limit" setting to the highest, but I found no appreciable difference. Supposedly, this is more common for larger blocks, but even blocks that would collapse with no issues on the smallest ships became prone to this problem. Frustrations: The developers are aware of all these issues. However, instead of investing in the overall game experience, they release endless content DLCs that make it even worse. Instead of acknowledging their responsibility to address the problems, the developers blame them on the limitations of the unreal engine; as if they have absolutely no control over their choice of engine. When people bring up these issues, they get attacked by other users for not sharing their complete PC specs. When they respond with the specs, they're just ignored. I'll point out that the recommended specs for this game are incredibly modest. Conclusion: If you loved Hardspace: Shipbreaker, this game might seem like an obvious choice. But the bugs and performance degradation mean I can't recommend this.
