I'll start this review by adressing the elephant in the room : the price. Even if I enjoyed the game (and the franchise as a whole), I can't in good faith excuse the 40 dollars price tag. I still bought it on the release, but at best with this game, you'll look at around 15-20h length if you go for completion. Unless you're a big fan of the Yomawari games like me and need it right now, wait for at least a 25% sale. Now that it's out of the way, what to say about the 3rd installment of the Yomawari series? This one felt more focused on the story, which is both a good point and a bad point. The good point is that you get more involved with the characters at play and the heroine (who is customisable this time), the bad point, however, is that some story beats really slow down the pacing of the game to have the character basically repeat what you just saw but in a dialogue format. Difficulty wise, it felt a bit easier than 1 and 2, with the addition of a new mechanic "closing your eyes" which replaces the "hiding" mechanic from the first 2 games. It roughly serves the same goal, but makes it more proactive. For the gameplay, and more precisely, the exploration, this one is structured a bit differently. The town and streets by itself felt slightly emptier which makes going from point A to B less tedious. The more difference comes from the fact that the game isn't linear this time. You'll have to explore the town to find your memories back, and when finding a specific item, it'll unlock a new zone which works a bit like a "dungeon" or "instance" and feels more contained. This allows the game to focus on a specific gimmick for each "dungeon" which makes them more unique and quite enjoyable. For the technical aspect, it's still top notch. The sprites and the various places you'll visit are always a treat to look at and the ambiant sounds really put you in the mood. To wrap this up, I'd say, if you've already played 1 and 2, you'll probably like this one too. If you haven't played 1 and 2, this one is also a good start since they're not really connected and feels more polished than the others.

I really like to Yomawari licence un general but this game was the best so far, a bit easier than Night alone imo but still great and I would totally recommend it to friends

Beaucoup plus scénarisé que les 2 deux premier, ce qui fait qu'on peut un peu en ambiance. Mais le jeu reste toujours aussi bien que les deux autres.
