When I was a kid, my family could not afford paying much for videogames. I used to buy, instead, videogame magazines, and marvel at the screenshots and the articles, imagining what it would be like to play them. At that time, one of the games that caught my eyes the most was Ufouria. It was colorful and the design of the characters was cute and fun. One day, my family and I visited a huge department store and there was a stand with a NES and Ufouria to play. I could only briefly see how other kids were playing on that stand. Eventually, when I was a teenager, there was the huge boom of emulation and I could get to play the ROM but, at that time, I was too busy working and studying at the same time. Now I am in my 40s and I got to play this release. The level design is great (I remember one of the main criticisms in the magazines mentioning that it was easy to get lost). The difficulty curve is very well implemented, with very easy challenges at the beginning and progressively more difficult features. The characters shine in their animations, with great characterization and a warm feeling. This title is very clearly oriented towards young kids. However, adults do have an inner kid inside as well. I may be very biased due to my fixation with this title as a kid, but I recommend this game thoroughly.
