Due to the reason that you only start with 600 ducats, and you can buy 370 units of food for around 370 ducats and these 370 units of food are used up in about 2 voyages to two new cities, (which is pretty short btw) you end up broke after a very short while.
You cant vendor shit because the prices for buying are high and selling wares like silver or spices are usually much lower than the ones you bougth them for. And taht doesnt even include the cost for buying and escort or the carriers or pack animals you have to account for. How the hell are you supposed to make moneyto afford all this crap?
The only reason to buy this is to look into the vast library of historic films and the nice atmosphere i came across.
You can learn a ton about the life back then, all about the voyages of marco polo, legends and stories, mongols, weapons that were used and so and so on.
