I played different Tennis Games on Xbox, PS 3-5, PC, etc. back to 80s NES, GC2 on Amiga, Top Spin 3, etc. and in comparison to the latest rivals out there on current market (Tiebreak on PS5 and 2k2025 also on PS5) this tennis game is a must buy. Ok, graphics and presentation are "not good" but the gameplay beats graphic. The way the KI is playing (I´m currently playing on Pro level 5) and won Wimbledon against Sampras simulating the early 2000s are outstanding. It´s important that while you improve your gameplay and getting better and better that you also shift the difficulty in the game to remain challenged, so also 1st round games can be a tricky thing. It feels so good to break the service from Ivanisevic (which is damn difficult as a returner on a fast court) or win a 40 rally against a clay specialist on his fav ground. Weaknesses? Missing presentation before and after games, even if you win a grand slam there is not a lot of show but you select more or less the next tournament. You have more or less the complete tour with latest price money and points represented and the 3D court view is ok. You forget - as mentioned - about the weak graphics, e.g. the audience once you have configured your player with individual service, returns, waiting and swing animation (McEnroe, Becker up to Sinner are all available) and start to hit the first balls. And here is the key - DO the training sessions. They are VERY important to understand the gameplay and get better with each hit and learn from your mistakes before starting the single tour or doing online games later. Otherwise it may get a frustrating exercise. Training IS the key to success but it is worth it and feels so damn good once you start winning games and improve your player by spreading talent points between the tournaments. The very cheap price of the product vs. the amount of hours I´ve spent so far (nearly 70h) is easily worth every penny. I hope for further optimization of this game, if I may request a wish I would welcome a bit more of presentation and audio improvement of audience during ball exchange and after as well as the commentary needs certainly improvement. That to me is the weakest part of the game as commentator does not always match what is happening or he is talking about best clay activity while playing on grass. But apart from these sound bugs, it´s a great AND stable game :) Big thumps up! PS: I´m german but I wrote it in english to reach more people... :)
