10/10 I want a Sequel

Erstes Spiel dieser Art das ich abgebrochen habe. Selbst Psy High und Tin Star fand ich nicht so langweilig!

I haven't played anything choose-your-own-path-adventures since I read books like that as a child. Those books had a lot of endings where 'you' would just die and couldn't finish the whole story. With this in mind I expected something similar here. That choices would could be ending the game early and badly. None of this has happened, which is good since it gives you more freedome and confidence in playing out your choice and seeing where it leads you, but also slightly bad since the game "pampers" one a little bit. Once you've figured out the pattern of the differenc fractions in the game and the typical answeres for the character's talents it's easy to choose the answer you want to lead the narration where you wish it. Nonetheless, there are still hard and surprising decisions at wich I would often minimize the game tab to think about it for a while and to dwell on the possibilities I had. I got really emotionally invested in the game cause it's just So. Much. Fun! My only point of critique would be the tendency towards cheezyness and overdramatication I noticed, it's fun and entertaining throughout the game but might get dull if every of their games has this same narration style and construction. I played the game once completly from beginning to finish and now start to revisit other options from save-points, but I'm sure that eventually I will make a new charakter to explore the paths I didn't take up till now and be able to play my persona out in totally different ways, which means I was entertained well enough to look forward to another go :)

[ + ] • Visual Novel/Text-Adventure, mit starkem Einfluss der persönlichen Entscheidungen • Man sollte der englischen Sprache mehr als nur mächtig sein, Visual Novels sind größtenteils in dieser Sprache verfasst • Hohen Wieder-Spiel-Wert da man sich in jedem Durchlauf anders entscheiden kann mit jeweils anderen Konsequenzen • Charaktere zeigen Tiefgang • Auch gut für Sherlock Holmes-Fans, mit Hang zu Mystery und Crime • Romance-Optionen vorhanden [ - ] • du kannst nur einen männlichen Protagonisten spielen • die Länge ist durchaus beträchtlich, Augenpausen sind zwischendurch ganz angenehm • ein Text-Adventure braucht nicht unbedingt visuelle Grafiken, aber durch den massiven Text fühlt man sich manchmal doch erschlagen, etwas visuellem hätte dem ganzen nicht geschadet (aus persönlichem Empfinden heraus)

Eine einzigartige Geschichte, da DU sie erlebst und bestimmst, was passiert. Sehr empfehlenswert und man sollte sie durchaus mehrfach spielen, um die verschiedenen Blickwinkel zu ergründen und die Konsequenzen auf alle beteiligten Parteien erleben zu können.
