If u like synergy based card games, this will be something u may adore a lot, even if it doesn´t seem to have too much in common in the first moment This is an absolute gem! I had played the first one a bit, i found the premise intriguing, i love god games and this one was unique. When they anounced there would be another one i got really high hopes... And man, now, after the Cataclysm update they really got everything in it i could possibly wish for. They improved on every aspect of the first game and its just a mesmerizing experience overall. To get into some details: The first thing i absolutely love is that there is no time induced hastle anywhere in the game. Everything happens (as far as i saw at least) just when you do stuff, so you will have such a laidback experience, and can always just relax and watch your planet just exist for a while - which brings me to the second part, and this may seem arbitrary, but it really does a lot: The visuals and details. Seeing all your animals and plants on the planet, seeing the people, seeing them all interact and do a bit of stuff, building things, harvesting the resources, sending delegations to each other and so on... It really makes you forget that what happens on the backend is just a static grid of interdependent numbers only ever changing when you place something, it makes everything feel living and breathing. And oh boi the visual cues when you place and upgrade resources are addicting as hell. Just seeing that huge piles of resources and big ass numbers fly in in the later stages of a planet is pure bliss. Also the universe-wide progression and unlcoks are rewarding, the biome-drafting system in the run, the planet shop and the "Lootboxes" at the end of every planet, all of this stuff integrated as a really nice game mechanic, incentivising you to play futher, unlock more and hope u get something cool and new every run... I never thought i would say soemthing like that in my lifetime, but man the lootbox mechanic is just adding so much for me here. I could go on and on, but i think you get the gist, if u like to have a relaxed strategizing session, if u like to think about and hunt for broken synergies, to make the numbers go up, if u love not-to-tedious micro management that can decide a run and have a shit ton of impact in general and if in addition to all that u want to have it all served to you accompanied by beautiful visuals that make you feel like a mighty-ass god creating a whole universe, then this is for you. P.S.: If u like synergy based deck-building and card games, this will be something u may adore a lot, even if it doesn´t seem to have too much in common with those at the first glance

I really do enjoy this Game, I even purchased the DLC today. It makes so much fun to combine all those minerals, plants and animals. The Eras and the demands from the tribes drive you to keep on playing. the playthrough of a planet takes a perfect amount of time so its also a nice game of you have 30 to 40 minutes to spare.
