Callisto ist jetzt Cold Start: The Callisto. Wohl um Verwechslungen aus dem Weg zu gehen, nun denn. The Cold Start von GIB Games ist ein grafisch ansehnliches Scifi-Detektivspiel mit Escaperoomanleihen. Wir befinden uns also auf Callisto, dem zweitgrößten Jupitermond, in einer alten Bergwerkanstalt, die jetzt als Luxushotel fungiert. In diesem Hotel wurden kürzlich mehrere Morde verübt, unter anderem an einer hohen politischen Persönlichkeit. Als interstellarer Polizist erforschen wir den Tatort, sammeln Beweise aller Art, lesen und hören viele Dokumente durch, um die dunklen Ereignisse aufzudecken. Hinweise und Rätsel können wir so in beliebiger Reihenfolge angehen. Glücklicherweise hilft uns aber unser Kollege Reggie etwas uns zurecht zu finden. Er steht mit uns über die Kommunikationsanlage des Hotels in Kontakt. Er hilft bei der Suche nach Hinweisen und versorgt uns auch mit wichtigen Informationen. Update: Mittlerweile gibt es aber auch ein Leitsystem, das die Wegfindung etwas erleichtert. Viele Einstellungen gibt es im Menü nicht. Wir können mit vielen Dingen interagieren, allerdings gibt es hier und da mal kleine Bugs oder Unklarheiten. Schade, dass es die Physik erlaubt durch Gegenstände zu fassen. Die Grafik ist ansehnlich, jedenfalls im Hotel. Schaut man aus den Fenstern, naja. Cold Start ist kein Actionspiel, sondern ein langsames Erkundungsspiel, bei dem das Finden und Lösen von Rätseln das Hauptziel ist. Daher kann man Cold Star auch bequem im sitzen spielen. Wir müssen wirklich gut zuhören und die Informationen lesen, die man sammelt. Die Geschichte ist verzwickt und hier ist das Hauptproblem des Spiels, trotz deutscher Untertitel ist es wirklich schwer allem zu folgen. Die Sprachausgabe ist super, die Stimmen toll gewählt, aber auch schwer zu folgen. Probably to avoid confusion, well then. The Cold Start by GIB Games is a graphically attractive scifi detective game with a touch of escaperoom. So we find ourselves on Callisto, Jupiter's second largest moon, in an old mining facility that now functions as a luxury hotel. Several murders have recently been committed in this hotel, including a high political figure. As an interstellar police officer, we explore the crime scene, collecting evidence of all kinds, reading and listening through many documents to uncover the dark events. This is how the convoluted story surrounding the Callisto Hotel slowly unfolds. Left pretty much to our own devices, we now explore the hotel with all its many rooms and floors. Fortunately, our colleague Reggie helps us a bit to find our way around. He is in contact with us through the hotel's communication system. He helps us find clues and also provides us with important information. Update: In the meantime, however, there is also a guidance system that makes finding our way a bit easier. According to the developers, the story of Cold Start even offers multiple endings, which of course speaks for replayability. The controls are okay, we can freely walk or teleport. There are not many settings in the menu. We can interact with many things, though there are little bugs or ambiguities here and there. It's a pity that the physics allow us to grasp through objects. The graphics are respectable, at least in the hotel. If you look out of the windows well. Cold Start is not an action game, but a slow exploration game where finding and solving puzzles is the main goal. Therefore, Cold Star can be played comfortably while sitting down. We have to listen really well and read the information that is gathered. The story is tricky and here is the main problem of the game, despite subtitles it is really hard to follow everything. The voice acting is great, the voices are great choices, but also hard to follow. To really enjoy the game, you need to be able to understand English well, both written and spoken. If you fancy a tricky case in an empty hotel on Callisto and know English well, you will definitely have fun here.
