If you like Ultima, and not Shroud of the Avatar, - this is the way to go. An amazing game, it takes me back in the old days. I hope there will be more of this, soon. Thank you for developing such a nice game.

Realms of Antiquity is an old school Computer roleplaying game that deserves the name. At the start of the game you make your own party out of 4 characters or a single hero to play the game. You can find new companions in the world to fill your party if you start as a single hero. It is really fun to explore the map, the puzzles are not tricky, you have to find the right clues on the map, like passwords or keys to get further into dungeons. Exploring the world gives you clues were to look. Sometimes you have to find secret passages to explore further. There is a clear goal in the game, to find you way back home to Earth. And you follow the clues all over the world to accomplish that goal. While traveling you can also do sidequests. Some of your deeds even have impact on the world around you. In one area you can dispell a curse and heal the enviroment. The tiles of this area change from purple poisened and brown dry dead earth to lush green forrest, fields and blue rivers. The fights are hard and get easier the more expierenced your party gets and the better equipment you collect. Monsters have certain weakness and you have to change your equipment to beat them. Inventory is small, you have to manage your resources like heal potions or fatique potions to get through the dungeons. The worldmap is enormous. You have a digital map to find your way. There is no automap, if you get lost, you should make your own map, or heavily rely on spells. The spell system is very robust and has a usefull spell for every situation. like trap disarm, lockpicking, monster weakness, monster control. There even is a fast travel spell to make your own markers for the return spell. Spells do not cost ingredients. It is really an excellent Crpg all in all. Thanks for reading, have a nice day.
