I finally found that game after not remembering it's name for 30 years. The big advantage is, you buy it on steam and everything is ready made for you (meaning especially the dos-box emulator etc.). I enjoyed the time playing it for the one afternoon it takes to beat the game. I would highly recommend to use a walkthrough as some of the riddles are simply impossible to solve by your own ;)
It was a very nice retro throwback.
