The reason I give this a negative review is that it is to repetitive. You are re doing the same things alle the time. This game has a lot of charme and they put a lot of work into it. For the first 3 hours you will love this game and this could be enough reason for some to buy it. The graphics are great, the artstyle is great, the sound is good. The battle system is funny for like 2 hours, than everything repetes too much. There are Zelda like puzzles in the doungeons. They are a lot of fun for the first doungeon. But after this they are just enoying. Because the mechanics stay mostly the same. Battle mechanic: when your characters attack they all have a gimmic where you have to hold or press a button at the right time. I never understand when RPGs do that. Holding or pressing a button for every battle gets old pretty fast. The old Mario und Luigi Games did the same thing much better, because there the gameplay was much faster. Here its too slow. For example one of your bugs has to hold the down button for a few seconds. This takes to much time and holding is borring. If I have to press the down button 4 seconds for every attack the battles get unnessasy longer. There is a bug that needs to wait 4 seconds until they show you which button it has to press. It would be better if you would have to do it immidiatly. The puzzle mechanics: the puzzles get borring pretty fast. Because they also are too slow to solve. There are many times where the game kinda forces you to do the same things more times. Like there is one doungeon where you collect some handles that you can put into some places. But the game never tells you which handle belongs to where. And you need to solve puzzles to get to each new place where you can place them. So you will often have to do lots of the borring same puzzles over and over. Because you re do them to try out if the handle works at the end of the puzzle just to notice, no its the wrong place and you need to go back doing all puzzles again. This is bad game design. If you have mechanics that are repetitive you need to make shure if players solve a puzzle they dont unnessasary have to redo them. One of your bugs can freeze things into ice blocks and an other can move ice blocks. Its cool that there skills can be combined to solve puzzles. But if you have to freeze and move blocks to get to the next section of a doungeon which just makes progressing in this game much longer and is not complicated or challenging it gets very borring. I will stop playing this game now. The cute artstyle and interessting story is not enough to continue this tortue of borring gameplay. Which is very sad because the world has so much charme. I hope the devs will make more games but learn from the flaws of this one.
