CONCLUSE 2 - The Drifting Prefecture Bewertungen

Disclaimer: I have not seen the original YouTube series. I greatly enjoyed Concluse 2. It is weird, hits you with some really bizarre tonal shifts and is sometimes rather 'cheesy' in all its weirdness, but it manages to present itself in a way, that all these things are acceptable and don't feel out of place. It conjures up a dream-like, heavy and in some scenes downright opressive athmosphere. The gameplay includes a lot of running back and forth, collecting items and using them with other items but I personally don't mind that. It is a simplicity that matches the 'early video game' vibe rather well. Yes. There are bugs, and some can be rather infuriating, especially when you try to pick up items but the hit boxes make it difficult. This led to me ignoring the right solution to a puzzle multiple times. Also, the grinding system is rather unstable. But the dev team is actively fixing these issues, so I can see past that. Concluse 2 is a game that wants to tell a story and show the player weird yet intriguing things and that is what I am looking for in a horror game.
