I love this DLC,the desiners seem put quite a lot efforts in restoring the situations in the Second Japan-China war.Though in some battles they altered some equipments and locations for game purpose, in total, the senerios are still quite close to real history. The compaign is quite challenging, for there is always little time and Chinese army had superior numbers of troops, forced players to maintain offensive and try harder to spot weakness on enemy lines. On the other hand, the initiation part of this compaign is NOT so real compare to history. The gap between the two armies is somehow shortened, which make the advantage on training and equipment of Japanese army nonsignificant, so when clash with mass Chinese troops, players can hardly performed as well as Japanese army in history. And the machanics of the game made the tactics like Two-Pincer movement or flanking maneuvers quite impossible, weakened the reality of this game. And some Chinese technique equipment bought from western countries is too IMBA, making Chinese army even better equiped than Japs, which is not quite real either. Though this DLC may not be perfect, it is still good enough for wargamers to enjoy: different battlefield, different army style, and a history nearly forgotten by our western allies, in which my Chinese forefathers fought and died side by side with brother-in-arms from US, USSR, Great Britain, Southest Asia or even uprose soldiers from Japan. 9/10, looking forward to play as the Chinese side oneday.
