这个DLC与好评如潮的BR 101一样，同属十分靠谱的Virtual Railroad收录，在vR官网上是以Expert Line（EL）的定位出现的。值得一提的是，这款原本作为EL开发的机车并没有因为登陆Steam降级成Pro Line而剔除任何内容（比如BR 101 EL作为Pro登陆Steam时剔除了IC控制车）。与101相比，112系的难度更上一层楼，它的牵引手柄控制逻辑和刹车的使用方法都与大多数其他的德铁电力机车存在相当大的区别，并且有着比较复杂的冷起程序。这使得即使是老司机也需要通读一遍手册才能顺利驾驶。
如果你是德铁爱好者，并且想要体验一辆与众不同的机车，体验严肃的模拟，这款112系是不容错过的。但如果你是想要开德国坑，买一辆好车来学习德铁的驾驶规则和信号系统，那么不建议以这辆车入门，建议去买隔壁101
