相比之前的版本bug修了不少，至少没遇到任务做不了或者必跳的地方了（当然还是多存档，有些地方手贱还是会导致卡任务，比如青蛙腿）以前玩过原版，冰与火比原版多了不少支线，最好评的是马尔山沼泽终于可以进了，新增内容除了丰富原版剧情外，还让等级一路狂升，第一次打王夫已经50多级了，一路碾压，难度不大（想追求挑战可以玩玩无尽魔书）。本作主角是个维京莽汉，一路被骗了无数次，冰与火中其被坑次数又有所增加，很多怪不需要问能不能杀，有没有任务，按维京人的做法，一路砍过去肯定没问题。本作剧情中规中矩，可以看作恩赐系列的外传，不过在完成了冗长的故事线后，人类、恶魔、精灵、矮人、维京人和主角会师于格林沃特城堡下，共同抗击亡灵，阅读对话还是能欣慰地脑补出一幅宛如魔戒般的决战场面，当然，需要脑补。总体来说，本作还是挺不错的，最后有汉化好评！
新手不熟偷图的话，推荐一个比较稳妥的攻略路线：诺德里格—韦斯特里格—高地—伊斯特林—西自由群岛—东自由群岛—维隆荒地—格林沃特—阿兰尼亚1—梅尔拉萨岛—寒冰庭院—神秘洞穴—地狱（打完不交任务）—马尔山沼泽—交龙之泪—阿兰尼亚2，后面就随意了，这样一路怪基本都可以轻松打得过，而且不容易误触任务bug，一路顺风顺水。
