Lot's of potential, but still a while to go. Had to return because it's just too glitchy to play without becoming frustrated.

This game is *very* rough around the edges, but it's also a lot of fun and has a lot of potential. Hopefully it gets completed and doesn't die out in early access.

I will definitely keep an eye on that game. First it seemed a bit difficult, but after getting familiar with card interaction, it is fun and worth playing.
I see it is getting patch frequently, and the developer respond to the inquiries.
I hope it will get a nice deck editor, and some new characters as well.
It would be really fun and challenging to play multiplayer.

Definitely not a bad unity game but I'd hesitate to suggest anyone spend more then a few dollars on this game in it's current state. Even with just my few hours in, I feel like I've gotten almost everything I can out of the current game.
A nice time sink if you pick this up on sale but don't expect much depth.

While, granted, this game is in it's early stages, I just can't recommend this game in it's current form. After 15 minutes of the cumbersome controls and clunky 90's synth music, it couldn't win me over. It just wasn't fun. The tutorial goes so far as to instruct you on how to select cards and target enemies; however, there's zero instruction on how each level plays out: moves left before the level "boss", significance of extra cards, difficulty of possible encounters/rewards, meaning of the currency to upgrade your town, etc...
Sadly, regardless of how your computer may be specced, I know the game's frame rate was still lagging what it should have been. This does have potential, and I'd be interested in the final product but I'll continue to spend my time and money with more polished products.

It's fine. I mean, it's a single dev early access. So there's not much to do yet. You can unlock everything that's available within an hour or so of play.
The gameplay is fun and I do like the ability to increase the challenge. It's pretty engrishy but not so bad you can't figure out pretty much everything. Definitely needs more tooltips.
I'll keep an eye on this one. Could turn into something pretty good down the line. I'd be a bit worried that this single-dev studio already has another game they're working on, and this might not get much love down the line.

In its current state, it is a proof of concept at best. If you absolutely love roguelikes and card games, you can get your 10$ worth. But skipping the tutorial, I had beaten the game by my second run. Nothing much left to experience. It is a fantastic starting point, and I will follow this in the future, but you must be a diehard fan for the purchase to be worth it.

As soon as this was available I decided to get it. It's been on my wish list a while. After playing about 45 minutes or so I found I like the game. it has a LOT of potential. I know this is early access so I'm taking this opportunity to give constructive criticism.
1. I love how even if you lose that day you still get your gems so you can build yourself up. It keeps people from getting too discouraged by getting nothing for their effort.
[edit] I saw they did a patch but now even if I get gem cards at the end of the day I get no gems for my city and the game doesn't remember the cards
2. There is no tutorial so new players with no card experience will be a lot worse off than myself in figuring things out. Devs, don't assume it is easy for everyone to figure out. Many play games like this with disabilities like sight, mental, etc.
[Edit] FYI the arrows are to choose your first character are so dim that one of my disabled friends couldn't even see the arrows but loves the game.
3. [Edit] Thanks for giving us a sound toggle
[old] The music is great for a minute then you have no ability to turn it down or edit any preferences at all. .BIG PROBLEM for many gamers since they are typically in chat channels, listening to something else, etc. Put some preferences in there for goodness sakes ;) You want people to continue playing! by the way that is why i quit playing today because I couldn't turn the sound down and keep doing what i had to do in life as well.
4. I love that if you only have 20 minutes to play something this is an amazing game to play one round / day or two and not loose progress.
[edit] now since your patch .. again no progress is saved it doesn't seem like.. no gems obtained .. and fyi if you level up, you see some gems but if you don't use them you lose them
5. [edit] when playing cards all types it can be extremely buggy.. not getting arrows when you should, having to work with it a good 4-5 times on skills that are played on your hero, etc.
6. [edit] not seeing the cards hold the upgrades from game to game. So you start all over. I'm not sure if that is by design or not.. but as the mobs get harder I would think you would want them to stick. Rather frustrating to invest gems into something that won't hold rather than something in the village BIG Downer!
7. [edit] Aspect of earth is supposed to stun all enemies. it only stuns one
8. [edit] when you level up and choose to upgrade cards, it won't let you upgrade/select anything but the center card... but in the video it shows you selecting one on the right.
8. this content isn't enough for the future but a great start. please don't stop developing because this game has a lot of potential and most of it is already there but needs more personality and maybe more side features to go along with things like the wonderful village you started. flesh it out more and it will be amazing

Bare bones both content and mechanics wise.
At current time of review, there are two classes to play with, but those classes don't receive new cards but rather upgrade a small selection through grinding. There is no thinning of deck mechanic, so on top of lack of variety, you get random encounters where you basically stand no chance and have to hit a wall, rinse and repeat until you farm enough gems to add that extra +1 to your card. There are no external items such as artifacts that flavor your run.
It's just an empty shell at this point and adds nothing new to the genre, sorry.
