I gave this a go despite some reviews warning me off, because it's cheap and I was a huge fan of old tactical JRPGs like tactics ogre, final fantasy tactics, vandal hearts, etc.
I agree with other reviews that the chinese voice acting is very jarring in a game where you're playing Napolean's sister. A couple of reviews mentioned being able to turn voices off, but you don't even get access to a menu until you're in your HQ a few battles into the game, so it wasn't the easiest to find.
The translation also isn't the best. It's better than a lot of chinese games, but there are still a lot of grammar mistakes.
The dialogue, in general, was pretty boring as well. I ended up skimming it and trying to fast forward to the battles. The character art is very good, to the point that the female characters are needlessly sexy, which is another sign that it's more for show than actual content imo.
Unfortunately the battles were also very basic, not very difficult, and not very imaginative, so I was pretty bored of all aspects of the game by about the one hour mark and then I stopped. I might have another stab at it eventually but probably it'll get lost in my pile of "meh" games.
It's cheap, so it wasn't much of a loss, but I can't recommend it. If you want to play a genuinely good recent tactical RPG I'd suggest Symphony of War: the Nephilim Saga instead; it's pricier, but that one was everything this game isn't.

It's a fun little pseudo-historical turn-based strategy game, with some cute french waifus. The gameplay is the main draw, it's very similar to Fire Emblem but more forgiving with no-perma-death and free opportunities to level grind. It's simple to understand but there is a lot of depth with the skills you can learn.
The music is fine, the story is fine. It suffers from some not-so-great Chinese to English translation errors, but it does the job of getting you to the next fight.
The girls are cute, the boys are not annoying, there are a lot of missable collectibles if you're going for all achievements, it's just a neat little game that will keep you engaged for a good amount of hours.

Absolute hidden gem. Quite a solid story with large likeable cast. But more than anything, engaging and intricate gameplay that is challenging enough to be rewarding but not unfair. Highly recommend
