You like Saw? Oh boy, is this the game for you. Make your way through various puzzles by guiding a little girl to do your bidding. Katia is absolutely a *little* girl, not a teenager and this makes it very hard to cope when she's put in serious peril by your actions. Although the methods of her death as I've played so far are not too gory, sort of hidden by the environment in a way, this doesn't make it feel any better. She's a child and if you get something wrong, something extremely nasty and fatal is going to happen to her. And then, my friend, to you. I'm not terribly far into the game so far, and the puzzles haven't been too taxing although other reviews state they get a lot harder. You really need to pay attention and the fact Katia's life is in your hands and the game conveys very well she's an innocent does add a lot to the tension. I did begin using VR but soon found myself with eyestrain after a few puzzles. I've since tried it in monitor mode and honestly, you lose very little just playing it on a standard screen. It's actually much more comfortable and I doubt I'll try the VR route with it again. It's dark, scary (even when you get the puzzles right, the game delights in scaring the crap out of Katia) and because your tool to completing the puzzles is a little girl, it's unsettling. It might not be the best game you ever played, but it's exceptionally memorable. Definitely worth a go, if you're of a strong constitution and if you're on the fence because you don't have VR, go for it. It's just as worrying in 2D.
