This is one of the best / most underrated RTS games for it's time. Kinda like a RTS version of Age of Wonders. It's showing it's age these days, being over 20 years old and getting it to run on Windows 10/11 requires a little tinkering in the settings (see the Guides here on steam), but it's still very entertaining. The studio that made it (Timegate) went out of business in 2013. I'm hopeful that a new studio snatches up the rights to this franchise and takes another run at it. Bringing the graphics up to date and adding some modern QOL changes would be amazing.

It seems you have to add it to Data Execution Prevention exceptions for it to even launch. Well, it is Kohan, relies heavily on capturing resource and settlement spots, with auto-engagement battles. If that is your thing, cool. If not, this kind of strategy may tend to be a little tedious...

I've been playing this game since 2009. I eventually lost the disk, and by then loved it so much that I literally switched to a better internet provider JUST to get it here. It's fun, Gets my brain running, is chaotic in a good way, allows me to use real strategy, and =The Soundtrack=.
