A somewhat spoopy walking sim. Looks great for the most part.

Finished the whole game. Looks pretty, voice acting is decent, but the gameplay is boring and the ending abrupt and unsatisfying. It's basically Bioshock but without anything more to do than walk around and solve simple puzzles sometimes. Meh.

Well I wanted to enjoy Bioshock the walking simulator, but I couldn't get it working on my modern computer as it still has an unsolved bug around Open SSL so Intel 10th gen onwards have problems. so used spare computer which was much older. I5 3570k Worked fine apart from ghosts hammered performance on a 1050Ti for GPU context. Didn't need running sections was like Soma didn't need the added interactivity as puzzles and story was enough if not a patch on the best in the walking sim land.
I kept on coming back to Hydrophobia another cheap euro game set on a big boat and I kept thinking despite all the jank I enjoyed it much more. That was a 6/10 game and this was less enjoyable.

So bad it's funny. A blatent Bioshock ripoff, but still enjoyable if short.

Great art style, great story, nice vibe of suspense, all to make it worse.
Because the dev team just had this brilliant idea that you can only save the game at the end of each chapter.
And the chapters are long.
And you're likely to die towards the end of each.

Its horror on the high sea, just a little after everything went sideways. Excellent, excellent narrative and the setting has so much charm. Shame about all the missing/dead people.

I bought this game because I liked the Bioshock-Vibes it gave.
For the most part it was a nice atmospheric walking-sim with a little bit of Story to go through, although there have been a few scenes that got extremly frustrating and the Ending left something to be desired.
For a Steam-Sale it's a pretty nice game, but I guess there are better walking-sims out there.
