Game is fun and easy to play, feels like skate 4 we deserve it, really easy to mod (gear, maps, mod menu, etc.), and with mods you can add real brand clothing, skateparks from real life. Everything is customizable, except physics in world. It’s also great on Steam Deck (Linux). I’ll rated it 9/10 (modding, easy to play, multiplayer, Linux)

As Tim Robinson would say—THIS GAME HAS NO SOUL! It is currently the best skate game available on PC. BUT, Skate is going to absolutely wreck this games future. We need more adventurous maps, more arcade style moves (as an option to enable) and more variety in movements. I'll continue to play until the new skate hits early access but I can't see myself ever returning if there's not massive improvements prior. And no, the mods do not take this from a 6/10 to a 9/10. At most it jumps to a 7.5/10 on a great modded map. Even if it updates after the fact, I don't think that'll bring anyone back.

Great game! Super fun and rewarding! Of course there are things that could be better, but it's a good game regardless.

this game is good but has problems. desperately needs to mainstream the stat menu and board breaking, wear and tear, cloth physics, ext. feels really good. but the lack of consistent game play holds it back. with mods its a great experience. but even then your stuck doing flat ground and rails{street skating} because the vert is so wonky. the impact of lands is there , more so then skate 3. but needs better animations for landing sketchy, or bails. i havent seen bails done good since tony hawk p8. most games now just use ragdoll physics and bad ones at that. when i bail i want it to feel like i just hurt myself. not like the soul of my character just left his body. need animations for walking away from bails that arent as bad. if a flatground flick trick fails then it shouldnt feel like my guy just gave up on life. all in all still a solid game and worth the money. just needs constant attention from the devs which im not sure it will get seeing how it's development has been going.

may be a bit hard to learn at first, but when you get the basic premise of the game it is so much fun skating around and doing some crazy tricks mid air and on the ground lol in my opinion, totally worth it!!!!

Where the game stands I would not recommend.. 114 hours on record and now when I go to play, both controllers fail to work in game but are fine on other steam games. I can hit enter on my keyboard but nothing after that. Checked for updates and settings but nothing.. If there is a known fix please help a brotha out. Honestly unfortunate because I love to relax with this game, plus the board physics are fantastic.

Honestly, the base maps are complete dog$hit.. So the mod community has kept this game going. The controls lack sometimes just setting up a basic Ollie or Nollie is unresponsive or will give you a random shove-it. SKATE is about to hit early access just save your cash for that and if it bombs, IDFK.

The camera angle sucks, the settings suck like theres not enough especially graphic settings. You cant change your controls at all and theres no assists for anything. The game doesnt feel completed, it feels like an unfinished project that was published. the character customization also sucks

Was a really good game when it was first released that showed real potential. However years later there's not much change here and still the same problems it's always had. The modders are doing more for this game than the devs themselves, and is only being kept alive by the die hard community. annoying controls, board keeps shoving when I'm not trying to, bad clipping ruining your runs it's just frustrating to see. Never played Session but perhaps I will.
