I recommend it 100% BUT I miss the card decks and the art that went with that... it felt more involved building a deck of cards and not playing exactly like the other enemy hero that's what they're trying to do with augments but the card deck system was just way better and also pretty.

Played Paragon back in the day, and played a ton of Pred when it was in EA. I loved it then and I can see theyve added a ton so I can only imagine its gotten much better since. Its everything I rememeber Paragon being and more. Omeda truly knows how to balance their heroes. Its a MOBA, so theres toxicity and the skill floor is fairly high. But if you know what you are doing its an incredibly addictive game.

It's a change of pace to play this game, but the balance of the game is terrible. The ranked match making is straight garbage. You start at the bottom at Bronze per the usual in game with ranked. You will be playing with Gold or higher people(who still don't understand the basic mechanics of the game) whilst trying to wrangle a bunch of cats(your own team) to attack the objectives. The toxicity of the players is crazy. Someone doesn't get their role they wanted. They sit in the back all game. They over extend and die. They blame the jungler or another lane and sit in the back all game. The game will probably die from the toxicity because they refuse to punish the people who are ruining the experience of others. If it's still running in a year or two, watch a stream to check and see how it is.

Would i suggest playing this game... i have 813hr and ive uninstalled and reinstalled so many times because i miss Paragon. all 3 teams that tried to continue in paragons honor have failed us. dont play this game. in stead fall in love with something like we all used too have before epic dumped its first baby for its new one.

Let me start by saying I was a top rank and top streamer for the original game, Paragon. This "remake" is all the bad choices that Paragon made, and worse. To start with, which is the most infuriating, the queue system is horrendous. You can spend upwards or 5 minutes waiting for a queue. Only to make it to the role selection part. Where 95% of the time if someone doesn't get what they want, they'll just AFK the whole match. Wasting 10+ minutes of your time. I've put almost 30 hours into the game. I would say over 75% of my games has had at least one AFK making the match literally impossible to win. Leaving you feeling like any time I put into this game feel like a complete waste. If someone doesn't connect to a match properly the game should remake. Role selection should be done BEFORE queue (like League of Legends). Players should receive higher unlock rewards for filling into undesired positions. iirc that's how Paragon did it before they made queue changes. Second, the map and meta. The map is the smaller Paragon map that caused a huge outrage when Epic made the change. So why carry that into the new game? The Dunk mechanic was the most unique and awesome part of Paragon. Every player loved that you not only had to kill a high priority objective but deliver it across the map with team protection. The main goal in Predecessor (if you actually have a full team of 5) is to out push your lane and take objectives. The problem is, anybody can do that. If you try to out-skill your opponent, the map is so small that a jungler can just rotate to your lane the first step you take past the river. Turning your narrow window of opportunity around instantly and putting you on the back foot. You are forced to play certain characters, especially in the mid lane, because if you can't push faster than your opponent, you are 100% going to lose gold and fall behind. Take Iggy for example. This character is an extremely passive pusher. He sets up his turrets and you are guaranteed the be stuck in your lane trying to counter push. If you don't chose a champion that has anywhere as fast as clear as him, you're screwed. Meaning that pick alone forces you to play 1-2 characters or else you fall behind. All in all, it was a terrible attempt at remaking an incredible game. If you do decide to play, just keep track of how much time you wasted with AFK players. Putting time into a game and being punished because someone didn't get their role is absolutely ridiculous. I would rather play something that gives me something in return. Huge changes need to be made to this game to ever be considered a top tier moba. Honestly, from the amount of time this game has been a WIP, and to only be at the point it is now, the devs should quite honestly give up, like Epic.

what the fuck did you do to countess, developers? jesus fucking christ can we get a reversion please? you took my favorite thing about the game and just shit on it. this is terrible gameplay. it takes sooo long for her q to go off and it what? pokes? a tiny circle? then retrigger to what? dive in to your death? with no escape? great assassin ability. fuck this.

DID YOU PLAY PARAGON?? This is the game for you. When it first came out I hated it, felt like they didnt give the old paragon justice. Got back into it recently and god it is even better than the original paragon. If you play solo lane don't expect your jungle to gank, but expect the other team to gank you at level 1. Do you want to be called out by your teammates after they fed your lane and all they say is "duo/mid/solo diff" this is the game for you.
