Arcade, or simcade racing, enough said the level up and upgrading car to race type system remind me NFS shift series which i quite enjoy

I have it on PSN and it's kinda nice to revisit it after so long. anyway, this game suffers from DmC: Devil May Cry syndrome, it's a good game just not a good Project CARS game especially considering I've played both of it's predecessors on Xbox. The UI is that of a mobile game so it's not fantastic and it's basically Need For Speed: Shift 3 and for that it gets an 8/10 for me. sad to see it delisted, but it makes sense. Licenses expire and whatnot.

Been watching this ever since it hit stage. I have most all the sims of my time frame. From iracing to ACC ....... Raceroom, Forza....etc. Lately though I've had some fun with the Arcade concept. Grid Legends is fun. It's fun to get in and drive and play without worrying about some guy online getting all worked up at you. It's also nice to get in and drive without tire wear, required pit stops. Elaborate car set ups with Anti-roll bars, suspension, tire pressure, car height, camber, tire patch temp, core temp, track temp, Aero wing adjustments etc..... Break bias, Tranny gear set up..... ya know what I mean. I like that stuff. But sometimes I just want to play and drive. So I purchased this PC3 with the desire of a fun fake fast arcade type feel. Much of the older NFS and Arcade sims won't work with my VRS and Fanatec rig. So I actually paid the $94.99 for all the content plus a very small $1.99 DLC for some decals and different cosmetic bits. Sources I have read suggest that this will not go on sale. Hopefully it will before D-Day for some other people if needed. I had to update my Fanatec drivers and once I was able to assign what I needed and calibrate my steering as to not over steer or under steer I was able to adjust the FFB so I could feel the car and road. Graphics maxed out. So far it was what I hoped it would be which is a fun Arcade ride with a lot of cars and tracks to mess with. At the end of the day all the sims are video games or maybe there's a tad of arcade in all the sims. But weather you agree with such a statement or not , bottom line is I bought this for some fast driving fun and it is that for sure. So I wanted to add it to the collection with PC1 & 2 deluxe.

I don't understand the mostly negative reviews. Yes its more arcade racer than sim, deal with it and review it for what it is, and the fact that it is arcade, for me means the more 'roady tracks' are much more appealing than the always same boring real tracks. That said, its also a good game for the year its from, looks good and plays well also on steamdeck. Love the cornering system and different touch with the markers, works very well for me, instead of the whole road/corner colouring ideal line..

I know i may get a lot of flack on this review here, but i wanted to be completely honest about this game, i'm purely buying this game because it is being delisted and its a shame that its going away, im trying it out for the first time and i have to say in my opinion it honestly isn't that bad. I know its not like the first 2 Project Cars Installments and its more arcade than anything but if you played Need for Speed Shift or Shift 2 Unleashed you'll kind of feel right at home when it comes to the grind for earning xp to unlock new vehicles and earning cash for buying new cars and vehicle upgrades and this game has a healthy amount of cars to choose from which is really nice to have. Pros: Healthy Amount of Cars and Tracks Music Isnt Too Bad. Grinding is similar to Need for Speed Shift Markers are on the tracks to make it easier to master corners. Cons: This game never has been on sale. This game is a bit different compared to the first 2 installments in terms of a career mode This game is being delisted very soon and will be gone away from digital storefronts forever come August 24, 2025. This game's online servers are being shut down in February of 2026.
