i like the premise of this game a lot but it is clearly unfinished and the pacing really fucking sucks

Pros: Hot widowed dominatrix avalible to romance Political intrigue with realistic and weight to each action you take Lovely men and women with unique and bright characteristics to befriend or offend as you see fit A banging soundtrack that really helps immerse you in the story Cons: Does get a little tedious, but such is life in Paris The real threat of the guillotine hangs over you at any moment (but honestly having the stakes raised like that is a pro just as much as a con, even if it stresses me out) I've only scratched the surface of what Yvette is capable of, and there's a lot I still want to learn about the game!

The game is so fun and I had really high hopes for it but I can't load or continue my game. The game froze so I had to fully exit and when I went back in I clicked continue and nothing happened, so I clicked load and selected the save file, and nothing happened. No matter how many times I exit and reopen the game I can't access my previous safe file. I tried verifying it through the properties screen and it still didn't work. It just turned out to be more trouble than it was worth

After one playthrough a lot of the gameplay can get a bit repetitive but you can just click/spacebar through the dialogue and just pick the choices you know works well for those sections. The fun in this game is the liberty they took with the various choices you can make, and how those choices can actually affect the timeline and even change history. I recommend at least a couple playthroughs to see how things can change, especially with the different romance options. Really wish there were more games out there like this that play around with historical "what ifs?" and let the player really drive how the narrative plays out.
