I really appeciate alpha games and I'm fully aware of what I might be getting into when I sign on any dotted line with a purchase. I'm a big dungeon crawler fan and watched a few of "Deadman's" videos on YouTube before buying this game. (He'd been playing the game since release on steam). As mentioned by others in these reviews, its very, very early stage....but let me tell you they're on to something. If Gauntlet, Gauntlet Legends, Heretic, Hexxen, Diablo and a First Person RPG/Shooter got together and had a child; this would be their offspring. The simple fact its first person is a game changer; not to mention you can play with friends on the fly! The dungeons can be randomly generated and it's a complete loot fest. Well worth the few dollars it costs. (We've all spent more at the movies and had nothing to show for it the next day, I try to keep that in mind) The foundational graphics engine is solid enough to play as of now. They've revamped the music and a few other aesthetic dynamics. (Devs are very active and friendly) It does have glitches/bugs and needs more content but it's so early stage that the sky is the limit. I definitely see what they're trying to do here. :) If you're into mass looting, hack n' slash and fast upgrades while mobs sneak up behind you and try to lop your head off while you frantically try to aim and kill them then this is the game for you. It starts off slow so don't give up on it; takes some time to ramp up and see what it's worth. I bought it in the middle of the night and couldn't stop playing it. This could be the type of game that leads you to not going to work or skipping school. I have my friends playing it now and I don't want to play anything else at the moment. lol Great job guys. :) The major downfall of this game, due to how early stage it is, is the general lack of content. There are only a handful of levels to randomly generate at the moment. Hope this one works out though, make more content!!!

Interesting game. For an EA it runs very smoothly and quickly. There are lots of weapons and armors to choose from. There isn't much to really complain about that would make sense since it's very EA. You cannot expect a super polished game this early in the development, but this is coming along faster and better than a lot of other EA's that I've played. The Devs are very responsive and quick. I would love to see how this turns out.

I most definitely recommend this game!!! A hidden gem for those who like dungeon crawling with good soundtrack. If you're a bloody occult-lover, don't think twice. Hope to see further updates! Huge thanks for all the amazing guys at ANIMVS.

This game is in great shape already, much better than average EA titles on Steam. Multiplayer still need some work on the animations sync, but it is fully playable. To be able to use the same character for single / multi full campaign is great! Can't wait for the upcoming levels.

Fun game if you don't expect it to be a role-playing game. It is more like a modern version of the classic Rogue dungeon game. Your goal is to explore several randomly generated dungeons, level up, get better gear, and find keys that let you through locked doors to new areas to explore. Beyond that, there are no deep meaningful quests (at least not yet). Like Rogue, it is about navigating a maze and COMBAT! The combat system is good with 3 different specializations based on stats (see below). Reading the reviews I feel like it has gotten a bad wrap because people expected it to be like World of WarCraft and it just isn't intended to be that. It is also an early access game, which unfortunately for some reason certain people expect to be all but complete. I don't know how it was before, but right now it seems stable and very playable. That said, I expect the developers will build on this base as time goes on. So far I've played for about 10 hours and made it to level 14. I don't think I've even scratched the surface of the maps as I'm still on the first of 5 or so regions you can see from your starting point. Here's what I've learned about the classes so far. Right now I prefer archery (dexterity) which includes bows, crossbows, spears, etc. These weapons seem to trade range for damage. I also take some melee (strength) so I can bash enemies with swords and clubs when they get close, but I may end up dropping that so I can gain dex faster to get access to better weapons. Mages (intelligence) have several types of magic attacks that seem to trade speed for damage. Their playstyle seems similar to the archer, but it has the interesting twist of the different magic attacks working differently. For instance, blasts from physical attacks will ricochet around. If you like a classic dungeon crawl, for $20 bucks it is well worth spending some time on.

Oh man, this game is nice! Have fun killing and looting while you listen to some kickass music! The graphics are gorgeous, with amazing light effects. The game is in early access, so obviously, there may still have a few bugs. But the customer service is amazing, the devs always listen and are very quick in fixing any issue. They continuously lanch patches to further improve performance and add more content. Worth every penny!

A really awesome game to play with friends or even find your way out by your own hitting down the enemies. You can improve your game over time by increasing your skills, and also it has a great weapons diversity and the creation of the different ways of the Dungeons leaves more fun each match.. It's very easy to get into the game's mood and feel in every age of the Dungeons. Truly recommended ;)

Played a bit of it with two friends, love the game, love the idea but the stability is not good. I'm running a 1070 and i7 and am still having pretty bad frame drops, almost to unplayability. I appreciate your guys' work but please work on the frame problems before anything else! Edit: As of 11/11/2018 The game has improved vastly performance wise. There are still some frame drops here and there in very enemy heavy areas but it is MUCH better than before. You can tell the team is listening to their fans and that is very rare nowadays. Keep up the optimizing process guys, you are doing great and this game is turning out very well!

Not worth for 20 dollars, has good potential and a good idea but isn't quite a experience right now. Possibly sound cues, music cues, sound effect changes, smoother animations and AI changes could make this work until further updates give the game some depth. Until then i spent most of the time lost then bored. Love the idea but not worth the money.

EDIT: I was contacted by the devs and talked through some troubleshooting. That is some serious customer service right there! They released a patch that fixed most of the problems I was having, as well as pointing out an issue with AVAST anti-virus (in case anyone else is running it). This is a dedicated team really looking to provide a quality product, and they completely have my support. This is a great project and I'm excited to see where it goes. And the devs are very closely listening to all of the feedback, which is fantastic! There is definitely lots of potential here. The comments so far are mostly positive, other than the expected bugs and glitches (which some people just have to complain about even in Early Access). Nothing that should deter you from trying out this fun little dungeon crawler that's even more fun with your friends! Multiplayer ftw. Worth giving a try if you're looking for a nice loot fest dungeon crawler. One with constant updates and new features being added, at that. Edit: As of this week (11/28) I was interviewed and brought onto the dev team at Animvs. Although an exciting opportunity, I wanted to very strongly point out this had nothing to do with my initial review of this product multiple weeks ago (which originally started out as a negative thumbs down!) I am proud and excited to be helping mold this project into something the community both wants and deserves. I will try to respond back to everyone that reaches out with questions.
