Great visuals, sounds and overally attention to details.

If you are looking for a good game to get you started in VR Horror I highly recommend this one. It is obvious the love and care that went into making it. The game ran smooth as butter on my Oculus Rift S and I encountered no glitches. The only things that gave me issues were my own stupidity and thick-headedness. I absolutely loved it and look forward to whatever else this company puts out. Keep it up guys and don't listen to the negativity (unless they have legitimate issues). Like this. Really creepy haunted house game. Problems: janky grabbing with index. Voice acting. Inventory system.

Nice game but quite short It's a narrative game with some terror and puzzles Edit: After trying Wraith: The Oblivion afterlife, it has made me realize how well done Dreamback was, dreamback was all about emotions and inmersion, Wraith tries something similar, is technically well done, but it's just boring.

I like the huge spooky manor, the graphics, the light effects, the volumetric effects, the good animations of the ghosts, the soundtrack, the very good 3D audio. In terms of visuals and sound it's very good, especially with next-gen Reverb G2 display. Nevertheless custom controls are very very ugly. You have to activate movement by pressing the left button; then you can walk by tilting your wrist in the forth or back direction! The same for turning with the right controller: press the right button and tilt the wrist left and right! Very uncomfortable! I managed to modify the bindings in order to use the left stick to walk and the right stick to turn while keeping the grip buttons pressed. I shared my bindings with the community. However you can save just one time; no way to overwrite or change save slot. So I had to complete the game in only one session! No help from developers. Obviously I wasn't expecting instant solution and personal assistance. The save system issue was reported one year ago by other users. No solution from developers so far! This is not the only reason why I put thumb down. Interactivity is very low. You can grab only few items useful to progress; the handle/grab mechanics are heavily flawed for any other item. Your virtual hands cannot touch anything, they go through furnitures, objects, doors, etc. Or, on the contrary, you are artificially moved away when you go too close to furnitures. This is immersion killing in VR. Decor of the house is very repetitive, flat, anonymous, with the exception of a few sculptures. This kills the otherwise good design of the manor and the otherwise good gothic atmosphere. Story is very weak and ending is disappointing. It's not scary, just a couple of good jump scares. A wasted opportunity, the developers didn't put much passion and dedication into it, except in the very good visual and sound quality. It could be a good VR demo for free or at so far lower price.

This is a superior creepy mansion game. I've played a few of these, and this is my favourite so far. It didn't get off to the best start with the weirdly grey visuals, but that was a quick fix in the graphics menu - brightness 100% gamma 25%. The lack of IK is only a problem at first - once you realize it's not estimating the orientation of your arms you just don't bend your wrists much. I completed it in one session of about 2 hours and 10 minutes. I was not bored, as the mansion is suitably creepy, and I felt compelled to keep going and find a way out before I ran out of torch batteries - this was a really good mechanic IMO. I was only stuck for a few minutes, and the maps did help me towards the end of the game - but almost all the way through I was just hunting through the rooms collecting the things I needed to progress the story, not having to concentrate too hard or solve puzzles. It's not an action game, as clearly stated on the store page, so don't expect to shoot zombies, but there are enough jump scares here to keep you on edge, without getting too scary. Here's a video of the first 8 minutes, so it's spoiler free: https://youtu.be/HKKlDyEkr8k

Short but not sweet, a couple of jump scares and a lot of confusion. Near the end, got a bug where I would have to pause or use an item to get my hand back. Game was just a walking item retrieving simulator that was pretty low quality.
