I want to come back and update my review to be much more detailed but for the short time I have played in this one sitting, 2 hours flew by. The game is so in depth it is outstanding. It feels fresh when I play it. I have encountered a couple bugs but those should be slowly removed later on. All in all this game is brilliant. In fact Im disappointed that no mobile version of this game exists as of yet. Please take my money. 9/10 at this current moment. First hour was finguring out how to play and understand the game mechanics. Second hour was pure love.

Has quite a lot going for it. The best way to describe it is unique. The combat took a bit to get used to but once I got a hang its pretty straight forward. Its a hell of fun.

Edit: Changing my review to Positive already after the first patch. They fixed some of the glaring problems, and *shrug* I like the game. Hope they do more updates soon.
[strike]The game is quite interesting. I would recommend it if it didn't have such huge problems. But right now I can't do it, not in the current form. The game has some serious problems. I know this is "early access", but that doesn't excuse everything.[/strike]
Biggest issues:
1.[strike] Some combat bugs. When you quit to the menu and go back into the game, the battle replays, and the results are DIFFERENT. Suddenly you don't take tons of damage, and you now have way more HP. This is just a replay, there should be no change in your HP, however the result is totally different. In the replay, things probably played correctly, or totally differently, either of which is bad. [/strike]
(Have not seen many combat problems anymore)
2. [strike]Card abilities are not explained. You basically have to use a card, to see what it actually does. The descriptions are that bad. I have gotten used to the descriptions and symbols now, but some cards still make no sense. [/strike]
(EDIT: Now there is a "training mode" that teaches you the meaning of some of the symbols)
3. Storyline is gibberish. It is not even worth reading. :( I finished all the 5 "story mode" chapters. I read all the text. What do I know about the story? Nothing. It is about 3 characters in different places, doing stuff, and yea, that's it.
3. "Standard" plays totally different than "Story" mode. Why change how turns work? That's just really weird. In Standard mode, turns are so short initially, that you can't even call them turns, your turns overlap with the enemy turns. It makes for very messy gameplay early on.
4.[strike] Some enemy cards resolve so fast that you can't tell what happened. How did the enemy get 70 shield? I have no idea. Probably a bug, but who knows, it all happened too fast. [/strike]
(EDIT: You can now see the card history at the top of the screen)
5. Many "builds" you can make, play in nearly the exact same pattern for every fight. This makes most fights boring. For example, I had a Rampage deck when doing one of the campaign parts, and I played the same 3 cards to start every battle, and that did something like 50 damage on turn 1, so almost every enemy died. The ones that didn't die, i finished on 2nd turn. Used the same pattern of cards every battle. Some builds can be more interesting than this, and you might have to think a good amount, but many builds require almost no brainpower to play.

Developers gave me personal attention when I had trouble using the Steam Key on the mobile client.
The art and world building are way above average. The deckbuilding gameplay is a rare case of trying something unique. Single player, multiplayer and a mobile client.
I wish there were more games with these chops + ambition

Almost got the standard null end, but got slayed at the last moment...! I played about 10 hours and quite enjoyed it, so I decided to leave a review to encourage you guys who haven't played this game yet to give it a try.
This game's got potential. Battle seems harsh at the beginning but the balance is not so bad after you get used to it, the time(as turn) system and deck building & playing is fresh and intuitive, and there are so many strategies to try - there are like infinite number of strategies, of course this is a kind of card game you optimize your deck and progress, but in 10 hours of playing, I couldn't get the similar combinition of cards and event buffs every try so it was basically playing new game for whole playing time. If devs create more contents using this as advantage(like more modes and achievements, maybe more character modes for example), game would be more enjoyable.
The basic game systems are intuitive, but card effects, conditions and durations on the other hand, are very confusing and in game explanations are not enough, so I think maybe devs should provide more guides or tutorials on those. There are many unexplained tips you can find if you pay attention to the details, so if you find figuring things out all by yourself enjoyable, this lack of explanation won't bother you.

The campaign mode, was like mode to know the themes of the cards and interections between cards.
On the other hand, the standard mode challenged me to manage time and remaining health.
There is a big gap between these mode, but I indeed that they are both interesting game to play.
As I played this game, the concept of using time to use cards, and various types of cards kept me fresh.
There are some bugs yet, but this would be improved as they provide the updated version.

Indie games need visibility, especially Korean ones that bother to offer passable English translations on launch.
I'll reserve my full review until I've had more time with the game.
EDIT 1: Game is good. Initial Early Access launch was quite buggy, but the devs have made short work of a majority of relevant bugs. There is a lot of depth involved in playing Standard Mode successfully. Story Mode is more for learning the ropes, the plot itself isn't that deep or meaningful.
If you like deckbuilders like Ascension, or "deck is your hand" games like Alteil, but want more difficulty and a larger card pool than the likes of Slay the Spire, this game is worth buying now even in its early Alpha state.
EDIT 2.1: You can now buy on Steam and, once out of the refund period of two hours, redeem a copy of the game for mobile!

Holy crap this is bad. This is so over-engineered and over-complicated while also being unable to progress due to bugs IN THE TUTORIALS? Like what even is this product? I love card games to an absurd degree and this turned me off so fast it's almost mind blowing. Do not buy.

A clear example of the limits of AI design.
Second Second succeeds in creating a unique take on a turn based card strategy featuring minimal RNG, but ultimately fails to engage the player. Game balance being handled by neural nets has devolved many encounters into complete nonsense, with many enemies doing nothing but healing themselves for the entire fight.
The time-based combat system is unique and interesting and not as complicated as most of the feedback would have you believe, but the mediocre english translation makes it more difficult to pick up. That said the encounters do not tap the potential of this system in the slightest. Your deck will be slow to progress and mature, and often you will spend most encounters executing the same overpowered card combo that you set up before-hand to exploit the RNG-less draw system. Rarely ever have I had to consider the opponent's actions, and decks which do are some of the weakest in the game. This pro-combo doctrine will make you less inclined to experiment with your deck since cards must be perfectly fit to be worthwhile, and most of your card packs will be recycled or spent on events. The net effect is that runs become drudgingly repetitive.
It's in early access and isn't too expensive so I don't regret buying it, but I would never recommend this over Slay the Spire in its current state. Try it only if you're a TCG/TBS junkie and have already played STS to death.
