Finally got around to playing this game. It's got it's ups and downs for sure. I like narrative-based games, and I like the idea of following multiple storylines at once. Coffee Talk paces each storyline quite well, I'd say. Some of the characters will make you cringe, one in particular was hard for me. Kinda felt like there was a self-insert OC recklessly placed into a fictional world. I feel like they were conscious of that though (which both simultaneously amused and pissed me off). But that's probably my biggest complaint, and I still enjoyed the game regardless. Playing this reminded me of something I'd find on the older days of the internet. I was never on tumblr or in the fanfic scene but I imagine this would be a diamond in the rough if it was created back then. Also the latte art mechanic was rly fun. I drew penises in every cup :). If you've got like 4 hours to kill, it's worth a shot. I liekd it enough to plan on getting the sequel.

This is a visual novel. Basically a slice of life tale in a world like ours...and not. There is very little game play; just enough to serve as you pursue the stories of the customers in your late night coffee bar.
If you go in knowing what to expect, and it's your cuppa...it really is excellent at what it does. Cannot recommend it enough, for those interested in the genre.

The story was boring and a bit weird. Without any meaningful gameplay, the lack of story started to bug me. Also, the final plot twist was really irrelevant to the things that had happened in the game.

If you're looking for a relaxed, low-stress game with simple mechanics and an easy path to 100% completion, this one fits the bill perfectly. Each story is short but well-written, drawing you in just enough without dragging things out. It’s the kind of game you can unwind with—no grinding, no complicated systems, just pure enjoyment. And without spoiling anything, the ending ties everything together in a really satisfying way. Ideal for players who want a chill experience with a meaningful payoff.

Such a relaxing game to unwind to. The story is fun and interesting; the characters bring such a magical charm to the game as well. At times, it does get confusing, but, I like the challenge that adds. Overall, I give this game a 9/10

This game isn’t bad—it’s just not very satisfying.
The soundtrack and pixel art are good, creating a cozy atmosphere.
But if you're drawn to the idea of brewing coffee, you might feel a bit disappointed. All you do is press buttons, and the latte art gameplay feels stiff.
Also, the story is predictable. You can guess how things will unfold early on, and by the end, 95% of your predictions will come true.
There was potential in these areas to make it better, but the game falls short.
Ultimately, this is more of a visual novel than a game. You have very limited control over the ending. You simply witness the story, and that’s it.
