Daytona Racing is a copy + paste of a Unity template from the asset flippers at Bullid Games, famous for taking the work of others and putting their own name on it. This is a mobile-app like top down mini-racer with zero redeeming qualities as a video game for gamers, but that's never the intention with this kind of asset flip shovelware. It's just a cash grab. Bullid Games have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work. One example of Bullid Games doing this is Super Golf 2018, which is really the "Quick Golf" asset, written by the actual developers, Shorka Games. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals. The game features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes "Daytona Racing" might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. That's right, only 3. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is to be expected. Gamers just didn't take this low quality game seriously, and for good reason. Daytona Racing is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the unethical nature of the developer, this is impossible to recommend. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam.

In this game you will have the opportunity to participate in these races for survival. You will need to hold out as much as possible circles and try not to crash into cars of other racers. It is not so easy as it looks at first glance, because on the road you are trapped by all sorts of obstacles. For example, spilled oil or just bad road surface. Features: Simple controls Nice graphics Leaderboards Many Steam achievements Suitable for Windows, Mac and Linux Rebuild from row to row to avoid meeting with enemy cars. For each lap you will be awarded one point and thus you will be able to assess their skills in racing survival! At the top of the rating will be the one who will be able to pass most of the laps without collisions. Perhaps it will be you! You can compete with your friends and find out which of you is the best racer. The game is very simple operation, which will be clear even to children, so that the game will be able to play a variety of players. The game will help you develop skills such as care and reaction speed, and generally help to brighten up the time.

Not worth the 59 cents This is a complete waste of everything I don't think I've ever seen less effort put into building something Impressively bad

Have you arrived home from work / school / other activity, ready to sit down and relax at your PC or laptop, looking forward to an enjoyable gaming time? Well if you have, then stay well away from this disastorous funsponge of a game. It completely removes any and all happiness surrounding it. The walls in my house now appear duller than before, shadows appear larger and bleaker, the sun nowhere near as bright before. I blame all that on this game. After playing less than 2 hours of the game I am a ruined man. Save yourself the trouble and don't even think about purchasing this game. Be a hero and tell your friends, or even random strangers too - heroes don't let people buy bad games. OK, so about the actual game, the AI isn't affected by the obstacles, can drive through one another rather than passing and also won't drive around you (ramming you and ending the game). The AI can also be much faster than you and with the number of them on a small track it pretty much means you are going to lose and lose often after only a few laps. There is no way to slow down / speed up, just switch lanes - which can be done with any key on the keyboard or mouse button. The obstacles are all pretty much a guaranteed game over situation for the person playing and they all seem to be in the exact place that you need to move out of way or switch lanes to pass AI. Also there is no in game pause at all and even with sound set off, there is still sound effects coming through. This developer also hasn't fixed bugs in their other racing game (which I've purchased and played too) so don't expect any patches/fixes to any complaints you have. edit: I see that they have now given themselves an "Award" which just shows how little moderating of store pages Steam does - "Great Daytona Racing Game"
