I tried to get into this game, I really did, but I didn't even end up finishing it. I thought about stopping and getting my money back right before the 2/3 hour window that Steam gives you, I kept going back and fourth, but I thought "No, I'll keep going, I'm sure it will get better". Well, it sure didn't. I looked up hints 90% of the game, the puzzles are SO FRUSTRATING. They just didn't make any sense, no rhyme or reason. Finally it got to the last leg of the game, and I still couldn't figure out a dang puzzle and I just stopped all together. The plot didn't make any sense either, I didn't understand, there really wasn't a story line to follow.

Despite the lack of optimization with the real-time graphics and minor technical issues with the UI and audio (which wasn't an obstacle to play and enjoy the whole game), Myha is a great puzzle game with an intriguing story and an interesting world. The puzzles are hard but fair and challenging. A must-have for all Myst-like lovers.

I'm roughly 3 hours into this game, and I am just stuck and frustrated. I'm not stupid. I solved Myst, Riven, and Quern without any significant assistance. But due to the amount of time spent and zero progress made, I started looking at a guide. I'm already going, "how the hell is anyone supposed to figure this out?" Possible spoilers: This game has hidden audio cues, which are my bane. It is one thing if I press a button and I hear machinery moving. But if I am in a forest and I hear birds, that's normal ambiance, not a clue. This game uses ambiance and expects you to interpret said ambiance as a clue. The game does a poor job at keeping the player informed on what is a puzzle, what isn't, and where they need to go next. For example, there are colored lanterns. What do the lanterns mean? My first instinct is they might be indicators to the sequence in which I'm supposed to solve the puzzles. ROYGBV, right? Nope. HUGE MISSED OPPORTUNITY. I go up into a tower and read a note that gives me an obvious hint, except that's not what I'm supposed to do next. I'm actually supposed to solve a bird puzzle which directs me to a rocket ship. But I'm not actually supposed to go to the rocket ship, I'm supposed to go to a children's school next. UGH! it doesn't make sense. Stupid puzzles. Stupid game.

As the last opus in the Black Cube Series, Myha is also the first in the series that has been completely developed in 3D, giving free reigns to the player to explore every corners of a beautiful island located on a planet in a far away solar system. The fact that the game shares the first two letters of its name with the famous exploration puzzle game Myst is no coincidence. Gameplay and settings are very much alike. You find yourself stranded on an unknown island after encountering a mysterious back cube. And you start exploring following clues that will, hopefully, help you get back home. There is no guidance provided, it is left to the player to figure out what to do. Puzzles are not easy, but were carefully designed to be solved through the island exploration, while paying careful attention to details. And of course, pen and paper are a must. Another thing I liked in this game was watching the gorgeous display of colors during sunset and sunrise. With a mysterious blue planet in the background, I could take really nice screenshots. Expect about 10 to 15 hours of gameplay to figure out the puzzles, more if you enjoy taking your time exploring. There are also many secrets to discover that will add to the gameplay. I definitely recommend this game to any Myst fans.

If you like point and click games similar to Myst and Obduction with challenging but not impossible puzzles, then this game is for you. Happily there are no timed events or actions that require quick reflexes to destroy something - at least at my current spot in the game. And no tongue-in-cheek sarcastic dialogue; in fact there is only one protagonist where information to advance through the game is gleaned through letters left about and from the environment.

This is a little gem of a game. The island scenery is so beautiful, it encourages you to just walk around and look before you start solving the puzzles. Which is exactly what I did and why my time to complete this game was so lengthy. Yet it was time well spent and I am saddened it is over. The puzzles were interesting and in many cases difficult. They require you to be very observant and piece together information from different parts of the island. It is so satisfying when you eventually solve a puzzle, which usually opens up another puzzle to address. Kudos to the developers for such a great game. And this is just an aside, did anyone else think the little train car in the playroom looked a lot like the car in Rhem. I thought I noticed Knut Mueller's name in the credits.

I love Myst-like games! Myha looked promising, but does crash and freezes up. The glitches makes it too unstable and takes away the fun. Hope there will come an FIX/UPDATE that will sort this out. Had to uninstall and get refunded this time around, sorry!

I'm 7+ hours in I can already recommend this game. If you like Myst, Quern or Xing you will love this game. It's hard (but not unfair), the island has the right size and no hand-holding at all. There are some minor glitches in UI, but nothing too serious...

Overall I would recommend this game to players who like games like Myst, Quern etc and are looking for something new to play rather than replaying old classics! Pros: Challenging puzzles but no leaps required. I did consult a walkthrough a little bit but only because of impatience, I would have got there eventually. Good environment. Ability to run quickly around the island. Lots of achievements. Cons: Very difficult to hear the audio messages. Playing at low quality on a laptop is a disadvantage to puzzle solving not just visuals. Would have liked to opt out of the night/day cycle - night was annoying especially as I was already struggling to see items from playing at low quality. Some things never become part of the game even though they look very much part of the game. Ability to detach the 'hand' movement from screen movement would have been good (like in Myst).

The world looks great but the puzzles are not easy. I f you prefer exploration games that do not require lot a puzzle solving skills I would pass on this one. It is basically a myst game with free-roam exploration removing the point & click element. I only recommend it for myst fans not exploration/walking sim fans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhwwJbHe8jE Pros: - Atmosphere - Puzzle intensive - Music Cons: -Runs at 30 fps - Looks bland (not a lot of interaction, can barely hear message logs when you press j). - Small island.
