Like Pikmin but with an existential threat, The Eternal Cylinder is an utterly imaginative race for survival. Play as the Trebhum, an adorably strange cast of mutating little weirdos - and roll, hop, and puzzle for your lives as you flee the existential flattening of the eternal cylinder. This game presents a psychedelic view of an alien world threatened with utter destruction. Its simple gameplay loop of evading the obliteration and solving the mystery of the peril you face is engaging, and it girds a soulful story of survival.
The game offers about 40 hours of gameplay, which can be repeated to complete the Trebhum's genetic memory and discover secrets and optimization options that might've been missed on an initial playthrough. Solving the game's platforming puzzle mechanics demands that you diversify your bizarre roster of Trebhum while struggling to keep them alive. The survival and party managing mechanics are engaging, but it's Eternal Cylinder's truly alien atmosphere that sets it apart. Its psychedelic landscapes, otherwordly score and surreal biota took me to a world unlike any other I've ever encountered in gaming. I have an immense fondness for the Trebhum, and I'll visit them again when I need a dose of hope.

Amazing game that reminds me of the good old early 2000s console games charm, where you had a lot of weird creature puzzling jump&run stuff. The devs really know how to make quirky games that stay on your mind for a while. The idea of having to flee from a giant cylinder that crushes everything is put into action spectacularily well and this is the best game from ACE I have seen so far. The gameplay connects puzzling, surviving and exploration really well, and don't worry, there will be moments where you can explore freely.
Amazing idea and good execution, totally recommend that one.
