No no no. Citizens that use up the materials I need for crafting were annoying. What really made me close the game though was walking paths and production lines not being able to cross each other. Maybe that's possible later in the game with bridges? Needing humans for every "automation" was real weird too, together with giving them all direct orders. Also the underground layer for water and other stuff was hard to grasp as tutorials generally were lacking in this game.

To me, one of the game’s standout features is its stress-free approach to automation.
Unlike other factory games, there’s no pressure from enemies or from limited resources, allowing players to experiment and build at their own pace. The colorful, low-poly aesthetic and relaxing soundtrack enhance the experience, making it a perfect game to unwind with while still engaging your strategic mind.

Very fun and really enjoyed the campaign. The only thing I think is lacking is more interconnected supply chains. You kind of end up building a new chain for each item you want to make, and you can't really source enough raw resources for long enough to build up resource depots. But overall I feel like its really well done and a great cozy game.

The little people are uncomplicated and cute. The idea of the game is to produce things for their homes, food, clothes and hardware are made by the people in factories. You progress to more and more complicated recipes to satisfy the happiness rating by research and land purchasing. Perfect happy little game.

A solid factory builder/automation game with a super cozy aesthetic. The art style and general vibe reminds me of those old mobile games that were low-quality in art but really solid gameplay-wise. This game reeks of passion. Super excited for the sequel, too. I was skeptical at first but now I'm sold.

As others have said in their reviews, Factory Town is unusual for an automation game in that it is highly 'comfy' and relaxing to play. Not that automation games can't be satisfying in their own right, but Factory Town has an aesthetic and a pace that means you play the game much more chilled than other automation games; there are no enemies to kill nor is the map eventually made up of huge sprawling factories and there's generally no sense of urgency to get things set up.
While those aspects are not issues, Factory Town makes a nice change in that you can spend time perfecting your automation network and experimenting with the gameplay features, rather than worrying about ensuring your factory-fortress doesn't fall to the enemy. It's great for playing whilst listening to something in the background.
