This is a very enjoyable game. The only thing I would point out as being "bad" is that the actors voicing the American side have a slight German accent. The interactions between the characters is a bit hokey and doesn't always make contextual sense. Otherwise, a very solid game.

I had a Mixed feeling on this game... I liked the boss fight, some of them are cool, even though feels copied from Skyforce: Reloaded I loved the Skill system, some are boring stats boost, but some of them are cool and also game breaking The problem here is the level scalling... so you don't know what your enemy's level are at, so sometimes you just get Overwhelmed especially the boss fight, it also feel Unfair to play against the boss while there's some annoying "Gimmick?" yeah, sometimes your ship won't follow your cursor especially you're stressed, not to mentioned that getting hit by the boss will result in killing you 1 shot, you don't even know what type of damage you can tank, results in frustration Otherwise, it's just an okay WW2 Shump, skyforce are better, but you can give this a go at a discount 6/10

Not z good Shmup. - Long loading times - The action is hindered by text overlay at times - The zoom in zoom out effect adds nothing to gameplay but interfere with the action - The whole squadron thing is more a nuisance than anything else4 - Grindy, you'll eventually get all upgrade The first AotL was better as a simple SHMUP, this one is boring

Aces of the Luftwaffe - Squadron pros: //fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on //good amount of action and special effects cons: //a lot of difficult battles/boss battles/objectives //some overpowered enemies //some enemies have unfair attacks //could use more powerups //too many enemies/enemy attacks/hazards fill the screen making it difficult to evade //upgrades require a lot of resources //collecting resources are a grindfest //sometimes the game is too fast //good game Personal Suggested Purchase Price: $0.99 Or Less During Sale

Naff.. Looks and feels like a cheap mobile game, which would not be that bad at all if only gameplay was not interrupted every 30 seconds by some intermission screen or dialogue. Added to that the controls are marred by inertia, which makes precise movements tiresome. SHMUP fanatics are advised to ignore this game and look elsewhere.

Aces of the Luftwaffe - A pretty decent remake of the old 1943 plane game with a twist on the old school formula, a dash of hard bullet hell mechanics as well as characters that behave differently every mission. Some get poisoned so you need to move slowly, others bail because they can't deal with heights...imagine a pilot being scared of heights. Anyways, it adds a layer of charm to the game by adding builds and characters with back stories and reasons why you'd want to level them up: Skills. Having a bunch of different skills makes it a ton better with things like stealth and screen wipes. All and all, it's a great fun game that you can even coop should you feel the burden of flying solo. Highly recommend to all the bullet hell fans out there!

I just found the game on sale and as I loved the Android version of the game I was hyped to buy it also on Steam. The original game was so nice, I played it on my first smartphone back in 2014 and I enjoyed it so much. The same with this one, the graphics are nice and also the levels are made in this way that you will never get bored of. I just played it for like 1 hour and I already finished the first chapter and half of the second. If you are searching for a 2D simple game, this is the choice for you, you won't regret it!

It's almost enjoyable. fun game. but boss is the worst braindead design. unfair. shameless cheating. it's hard?, yes, but it doesn't call challenge. there is no hint movement or alt choice to avoid their attacking, just surprise force player to be killed. if you're looking for better, more enjoyable game, i suggest to try "Sky Force".

I'm sorry, but while this is a really good shmup mechanically, it's let down by "story" and "characters" that the game shoves in your face, with terrible writing and even more annoying voice acting. You can skip some of it, but only some of it. I'll be having a nice time shooting down Nazis in the middle of a game and suddenly they'll start talking. If you mute them, you still have to sit through whatever they're saying. It's like having an amazing dog who is wonderful 90% of the time, but will randomly bite you in the groin in the middle of any interaction with it. To semi quote a hero of mine, this sort of game needs a story and characterisation in the same way that an adult film needs a story - it can be there, but it shouldn't be important. I don't care if the bloke in this hypothetical adult film manages to fix the boiler or not. Any hours played beyond 3 is me running the game to get the trading cards to offset the cost of whatever I paid for it. (Probably nothing)

Good game if you just want to have shoot'Em up type fun for a short period of time, I.E. it can get boring quite quickly. Graphics looks really good and thank the programmers you can skip the cutscenes. at 75% discount I would say its worth it, could do with some extra polishing but overall I say its o.k.
