This is a video game ass game. Love the style and the movement my only complaint is that the camera on the is too slow. The humor is kinda hit or miss but, the various it's definitely gotten a few good laughs out of me. The moment to moment game play makes this a good to just throw on and have some fun. The overall story is more or less just a vehicle for the game play and it knows it. The characters are all surface level tropes but, they're fun and serve their purpose well. Love the variety of guns in the game as well as the amp system so you can change it up pretty often. Once again this games got some shmoovement. once you get the hang of it you'll be seamlessly traversing the game world in a stylish fashion. the movement's not too difficult or deep but, it hits a nice middle ground between something like mirrors edge and the free running in assassin's creed. This game is packed with fun. If you like stylized cartoony graphics and don't mind cheesy dialogue I %100 recommend sunset overdrive.

It’s mildly addicting, traversing through Sunset City by grinding, climbing, and bouncing across nearly everything in the environment around you. Sunset Overdrive is lots of fun. 8/10

kinda underrated to be honest its a very punk inspired game, which works for me because it was really into that shit as a teen, this is basically an open world zombie killing game, only zombies are called "ODs" it has a great dynamic soundtrack that ramps up as you kill more and more ODs, it has a very fun parkour system and it feels real good to move around the city without tripping like a moron using your parkour moves, the weapons are all very wacky and fun, and the game is reasonably funny, doesnt take itself seriously in the slightest style-wise it feels adjacent to Hi-Fi Rush

Colorful and fun game. Movement is amazing (it's so good you'll forget there's a fast travel option) and guns are cool. It goes on sale super cheap so do yourself a favour and check it out. Definetely an underrated gem that deserved more and a sequel.

Deadpool and Spiderman merged together, and there is an apocalypse. I wish this game had a better end game experience, but ultimately it is still great fun. The movement system and the heavy layers of comedy is not for everyone, but I believe you will enjoy this game if you give it a chance. Too bad it will never get a sequel to potentially perfect the formula this game had made.

The state of the port completely ruins the experience. Knowing full well that you have to either disable cloud saves, or bump the resolution down to 720 makes absolutely no sense. Game crashes whenever you open the options menu, corrupts saves, and the only way to fix it is to disable cloud saves via steam. Still does not ensure that your current file wont corrupt, forcing you to start the game over continuously. Play it on xbox instead. 0/10

"Style over substance? Maybe. But the substance is still ridiculously fun." Sunset Overdrive wears its punk rebellion and anti-corporate edge like a Halloween costume—loud, messy, and not particularly deep. The humor leans into juvenile territory and often misses, but somehow, none of that really matters once you're in motion. Traversal is where this game absolutely shines. Grinding, bouncing, and air-dashing across the city is so smooth and satisfying that I actually found myself hunting down collectibles just for the joy of moving around. It’s rare for an open world to feel this fluid and kinetic. On the downside: some technical hiccups (occasional audio dropouts, one glitched quest), and the base defense segments are a slog. Ammo balance is off, and several weapons feel like filler. Also, it takes too long to unlock the full traversal toolkit, which is a shame because that’s the game’s real strength. Despite the flaws, it’s loud, chaotic, and genuinely entertaining in a way few games are. A stylish mess—but a fun one.
