my god, what a beautifully made game. is it such a joy to explore and read everyone's webpages, which only highlights the quality of writing and graphics. on top of that, the music is superb. the fact that they conceptualize a whole history of music and it's evolution with ACCOMPANYING MUSIC is a feat in of itself. i need the glamocastor album and i need dirthaze to be even more real (someone reccommend me more shoegaze, i beg of you). i played this game twice. once to play it blind, another to 100% the achievements, and yet i still come back to it missing it. missing it for an era i've never experienced, but feel nostelgia for nonetheless.

Fun game, especially for those who enjoy online detective style searching. I loved how the game didn't hold my hand! Also, I appreciate the 90's vibe <3

Satisfying, charming, actually funny. Characters felt real, therefore especially likeable, in their cringeworthiness. Would've loved a sequel so its cancellation is a huge shame.

An unbelievable time capsule of what it felt like to be a netizen of the internet in the 90's and 00s, and an amazing, deeply moving story told through that medium. If the idea of being an "Enforcer" turns you off, just know that the "Enforcer" aspect is just a framing device and barely factors in to how this game feels to play. RIP Dreamsettler.

this game sparked my html obsession into full gear. haven't made a website in years, played hypnospace outlaw and made two sites in a month. genuinely one of the most unique and endearing games i've ever played, 10/10

Such an incredible experience, feels less like a game and more like a time machine into a bygone period with dozens of websites and pages to explore, tons of people posting about their lives, quirky applications and minigames to get lost in and a genuinely engaging story. I've already played through it on game pass but i bought it again on steam because of how good it is (which is a first for me) and after hearing about the sequel dreamsettler getting cancelled (RIP what probably would have been one of my favourite games ever made)

Genuinely one of the best games ive ever played, even more so on how it conveys its message in such a short time in such a unique way. It's really horrible the sequel game got canceled...You can tell the heart and soul of people was poured into this. Just play it, it is amazing.

TLDR: Its fine. 8/10 Review: Damn, I wish I were better at puzzles... I hate to admit it, but by the final 15% of the game, I was just reading a walkthrough on how to beat the game, as I didn't want my incompetence to hinder my enjoyment of the story that the game was trying to tell. But for most of the time that I was playing the game by its rules, I was hooked. The Y2K charm isn't lost on me, along with the silly stories and the subtle world-building elements; it was a generally enjoyable experience. Now, would I recommend this to my colleagues? Probably not. The game is hard to get into, as its gameplay is anything but "traditional." But for those into puzzle games and point-and-click adventures, this is something worth spending time on. Is it better than games like Portal 2 or Outer Wilds? I don't think so. But it doesn’t have to be. What it offers is something different. A quirky, offbeat journey with its own unique voice. And if that kind of experience speaks to you, then this game is absolutely worth a try.

Quite simply one of the greatest experiences on PC today. A literal time machine, a wonderful love letter to a bygone era where the internet was a bit more enjoyable. I am extremely bummed that the sequel has been cancelled.
