really good !! no complaints if you like the puzzles in the base game but wish they were a little more challenging , then this is a must

unlike the base game, the DLC just isn't worth getting unless you REALLY want more puzzles. There is no story and the puzzles are exceedingly hard, I have failed to solve a single one so far.

The first puzzle pack offers a set of challenging and well-designed puzzles, especially if you try to get all the collectibles. You'll have to think outside the box (all pun intended) if you want to get them all. There's no story here so only pick this up if you're interested in some good puzzle-solving. Depending on how thorough you are, the first pack can offer anywhere from 3 to 8 hours of gameplay (some of the collectible puzzles are really tough). Definitely worth it if you enjoyed the base game. Edit: Just finished the second DLC pack and it was pretty good. As with the first DLC, it offers a bunch of challenging puzzles that get even more challenging if you go for the bonus cubes too. This one took me around 6 hours to finish with 100% completion. Aside from a potential hint about QUBE3, there's basically no story here but if you're playing the DLC for QUBE2, you probably don't care about the story to begin with.

I was feeling quite proud of myself for getting through the main game without too much difficulty. Right away this DLC showed me that I'm not as clever as I thought I was.

TLDR Lost Orbit is a puzzle pack with slightly more challenging levels, does not introduce new mechanics. [15/20⭐, 5h🏅, 3/5💡] TLDR Aftermath is a puzzle pack with considerably more challenging levels, new mechanics. It also looks cool. [17/20⭐, 7h🏅, 3/5💡] Context The Season Pass includes the The Lost Orbit and Aftermath, two puzzle pack DLCs for Q.U.B.E. 2. Writing Neither puzzle pack has a plot, only puzzles to solve, which considering the poor writing of the main game is not necessarily a bad decision. Aesthetics The puzzles of Lost Orbit simply take place in the sterile rooms of the early stages of the main game. Aftermath introduces a new desolate level design, in line with the later chapters of the main game. Gameplay Lost Orbit has the mechanics and level design of the main game, albeit slightly more complex. Puzzles require longer sequences of actions and more timed reactions, but nothing too hard. Some levels ended up being frustrating due to some crazy magnet physics, and most levels had magnets. Aftermath introduces new laser puzzles, recovered from the original Q.U.B.E.. The puzzles are considerably harder and the level design more open, although still nothing overwhelming (there were a couple of levels where I got stuck). However, as more quick actions were required, bugs also occurred more often (ghost cubes, effects not being applied to cubes, crazy cube physics). Besides the puzzle levels (~10 in Lost Orbit and ~12 in Aftermath), there are also hidden collectibles to be found (~3 per level). Also worth noting that compared with Q.U.B.E. 1, the challenges are nothing like the frantic and time-trial challenges introduced in the Director’s Cut version. Like the main game, progress auto-saves when you complete levels, but mid-level progress is not saved. There are no game overs nor deadends (as far as I can tell). You can’t undo or reset levels (which was only a problem in one instance were I clipped through the walls). Value It took me 4.5 hours to beat the Lost Orbit and 7 hours Aftermath, including all collectibles. Given the difference in quality, it’s surprising that both DLCs have the same price tag. You can revisit levels through the DLC’s master level. There is a single progress slot. Achievements are only related to solving levels and the collectibles, so no need for multiple playthroughs. Repayable only if you enjoy the puzzles. The Lost Orbit DLC was great. Its filled with more challenging puzzles and collectibles to find, it was a great first pack. I can't wait for the next one!

Sadly enough couldn't play this DLC due to bugs. Moving blacj platform won't move green or black qubes. Qubes stuck in textures a lot. But maybe it was just for me...

It wasn’t for me. Having a story to follow while solving puzzles is important for me. Plus, the new puzzles and collectibles were a bit too hard without a learning curve for my taste. Rather than being smooth, the solutions felt a bit cheesy for the most part.

Addictuve and fun! This is so much better then the original QUBE. Puzzles are very challenging as well as having an outstanding story. I really hope Toxic Games puts out more games like this. Brilliant job guys!! I suggest playing the original game to get the whole story. It is somewhat covered in this game. In my opinion, both games must be experienced.

I spent almost 5 hours on Puzzle Pack 1. That's a fair amount of gameplay for a DLC. The puzzles were trickier, but I never got to the point where frustration outweighed fun. Any Portal fanatic will love these puzzles.
