Aweful. Ive spent hours trying to figure out how to improve but this game makes absolutly random decision that ruin the game. The is no training to teach you how to play the game and even with a fairly decent knowledge of the game it throws it back in your face not allowing you to have any fun. Unless this game gets a major update and a complete rehaul to team progression and adding the ability to actully know how to win a match only then I would think about recomending this game. Definitely dont pay 25 NZD for this game. The sad thing is i actually wanted to like it, but instead it continues the tread of aweful cricket games. 2/10.

I love cricket. I've played it for years, I've umpired it for years, and I've followed it my whole life. This is a game created by people who do not understand cricket. Sensible cricket tactics don't work. Batsmen somehow play impossible shots. In my first match I had a team chase down 400 for the loss of only 4 wickets on a last day pitch that supposedly had uneven bounce and sharp turn. Seriously, if you know anything about cricket you would know that would be the GREATEST RESULT IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME. Clearly, the developers know nothing. The game is a joke.

Losing a T20i by 72 runs with 8 wickets in hand, despite telling every single batsman to take risks and score at the maximum rate they can the entire match? Sure, I can believe that. They're taking so many risks that they're scoring at a massive 6 an over and not losing their wickets. It's literally impossible to win when the game's that unrealistic.

Same old same old. AI can bowl you out no matter what you do but you can't get a wicket when you bowl. Just when the AI needs a collapse a collapse happens no matter the levels you put, you can put defensive and defensive rated batsmen will still get run out in a test match. This seems to be a consistant complaint throughout the years. I thing a better application of the difficultly options is in order. What I described was all on easy difficulty so I think easy should be for casual players so they can get enjoyment without having to micro manage, then normal and hard is micromanaging every ball for the hardcore players. I want to like this game but so many times the enjoyment is ruined by the AI getting 4/650 super easily and I end up having to follow on. I understand it's tough for a small developer but in contrast I play sim racing titles by small developers who give constant updates to improve the games they release. I will consider this game once it goes from mixed reviews to at least positive reviews because the standard is still Cricket Coach 2014 which is sad for such a big game like cricket.

The run outs are a joke, you get at least three a match, like the idea of the game but it needs improving in the future series, run outs has been a problem for a while.

Since august 2018 with the one of the two updates that month. Cricket Captain has been constantly freezing or in other words not responding after I select the to play the next match or select to bat and bowl after the toss. I want this issue fixed quickly it is impariring my enjoyment. Bring out another update to clear these bugs for good. Two updates ago is when this issue started for me

I've only played T20 and found the key differance between being all out for <100 in 12 overs and finishing 20 overs at 200+ with wickets left is utterly random luck as both results can be obtained starting from the same save and making the same selections. So either my choices are meanigless or making the right choices can still lead to utter failure, either way the result is out of my hands. Cricket Spectator would be more accurate title .

I'm sorry, I really wanted to like this game but ultimately it is repetitive and unrewarding. Nothing about the game is atrocious, but nothing is exceptional either and the sum total is a bit limp. To try to be constructive, Easy mode should be easy, not really hard. I appreciate that real life can throw up unusual results but I just became sick and tired of draws and loses to manifestly inferior opposition. I think I noticed a mild improvement in performance by playing ball-by-ball and mixing up the play. If so, this is a mistake. The casual player doesn't want to pour hours into a single match. Likewise, I was irritated by the warning that skipping a game would result in loss in performance. What's the point of that? To punish me for being insufficiently enthusiastic and for not playing it the way it 'should' be played? I'm the customer, get over yourselves. I realise it is a compromise in the balance between playability and realism, but stats for players along the lines of Football Manager would be an improvement. You develop an emotional investment in young players you've nurtured, you can make informed decisions regarding transfers and more easily analyse the opposition. The user interface isn't confusing, but it's not that friendly either. I too often tried to pick a player who was 20-overs-only or the reserve foreign player. The notion of coaching a set number of players seems odd. Surely professional players all train, all the time? The rewards for training are opaque (because you have no stats!). The idea of representing form as five stars seems imprecise, especially with all-rounders when I wasn't clear whether it represented one discipline or both. The commentary is very good, there's a good range of phrases and comments such that it doesn't grate and become overly repetitious. I enjoyed the option to pick an all-star team and replay some classic tests, but taken in the round it's not enough to recommend the game. It feels like some very dedicated people have put a lot into this (which is a rare thing in itself), but I hope they'll forgive me in saying that as ardent fans they are perhaps a bit too close to the detail and they've made the game a bit boring.

Another fine-tuned and highly polished effort from the International Cricket Captain team. Improved gameplay and graphics make this an excellent value-for-money buy. The addition of Afghanistan and Ireland to the international career mode allows one to captain either side to Test match, one day and Twenty20 glory. Domestic leagues from most of the major test playing nations are covered too. If you love bats, stats and sports simulation, you will adore Cricket Captain 2018. One small gripe, there's still no female spectators in the crowd. How's a guy meant to bowl a maiden over? Recommended.

I spent 30 minutes deciding the best Australian XI of all time, Ended up getting Bradman an average of 100. Games really fun and a lot cleaner and improved from 2017. The only bug I had was in career it didn't let me select "no 20 over side" but I went back and then reselected it and it worked
